The addition of Olimar was one that managed to lift the good ol' eyebrows. His style is perhaps one we haven't seen yet. It's disappointing that Olimar by himself doesn't seem to be that great, and that makes him look like a bad character at first glance. However, if they managed to keep that part of the Pikmin element intact, then I'm sure that when Olimar is able to get on the offensive with the Pikmin, he's pretty much the ultimate wild card as far as characters go. Heh, I have to admit that I didn't see this coming. I just knew that the site's updates were almost out of gas, seeing as we're so close to the game's release. Heck, I wouldn't have been upset to have figured this out only after the game was released. Smash Bros. Dojo has done a superb job of keeping everyone in the know of what this game has in store. It will only make the idea of playing the game that much harder to ignore. |

Well Shadow, the other Shadow, not me Shadow, while I do like the Kirby copy abilities that have him morphed into the likeness of another character like Mewtwo (which is probably my favorite Smash copy ability), I drew Sonic Kirby like that because blue is something rather important to Sonic the Hedgehog. Without blue spines it could easily be confused with somebody else (if other Sonic characters are/were in Brawl). Also, most of Kirby's abilities follow the hat formula, so it makes more sense when collecting the Kirby Hat trophies (assuming they're in Brawl like they were in Melee). Almost all of his copy abilities are hats in the Kirby games, too. So yeah, that's how I think he'll look, but of course it's still very possible that I could be wrong. I agree with Blinking Rune, too. That's the great thing about Brawl after all. Anyone can appear regardless of their game's storyline or whatever. Nobody really fits in. Just look at the things specific to Brawl like the various Multi-Man teams, Master Hand, some of the items, some of the stages, and the other original characters. Most of them certainly don't look like they'd fit in any Mario or Kirby game (other than Master Hand in Kirby like in the Amazing Mirror). And yeah, I think we can all agree Snake is really out of place. :eggman: I sort of saw Olimar and the Pikmin coming, and yet I didn't. I didn't expect it when I checked this morning (though I knew it was a character thanks to Gamma's late night text message), but then I thought, "Heh, that makes sense." Pikmin being one of the few somewhat popular Nintendo franchises that weren't in it and it being a special trophy you had to have a Pikmin file to get in Melee. Yup, purdy cool addition as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't really seem like someone I'd use an awful lot, but of course I'll try 'em out and use him/them some. I guess we now have 24 characters announced for Brawl. Only one more and we'll know of as many characters as there were altogether in Melee, and there's probably plenty more hopefully. ^_^ 32 days left! |

Yeah, me too. I hope for Sheik or Ganondorf. It sounds like they are very likely to be in it, so I'm ready for the details (and to see what Sheik would look like now). |

I doubt we will get anymore characters before the release. Right now the characters page is nice and neat if they add more if will look out of place. |

I keep wondering what would happen if they made a SSB style game but only used Mario characters. >> That'd be cool. I also find it very happy that the character grid is complete, like Drybones said. It's filled all up. Olimar and Ice Climbers are the last(so far) and that makes me happy for some reason. Maybe it's the dayquil? |

The funny thing about Sheik is the fact that the site has yet to mention anything about Zelda, outside of the fact she's in the game. She wasn't a playable character in the E for All Demo (to my knowledge), which continues to leave most of us guessing whether or not this Zelda is able to transform at all. So far, most of her moves seem to be intact, but since this is Zelda's TP design here, a Sheik transformation is not exactly set in stone. That said, I think Sheik is too popular a character to just drop. To be honest, I could very well see Zelda and Sheik as two stand-alone characters this time around. That would save some confusion, I think. As for Ganondorf, it would be a crying shame if he didn't return... but he needs a unique moveset this time around. Also, I would go crazy if his Final Smash involved transforming into Ganon. Ganon vs. Giga Bowser... *whistles* :D |

Yeah, I thought about the character grid being all neat and stuff too. And good points Madmangamer364. Like many people, I figure they'll try and give him some sword attacks this time (that sword was pretty significant in Twilight Princess). They did change all Link's moves to their Twilight Princess counterparts. I think it's very likely Ganondorf's Final Smash would be ... SPOILERS! (Pretty much only for CHAOSGAMMA who has yet to complete the game) Avert thine eyes, Gamma. his Dark Beast Ganon form from Twilight Princess (what's that blasted spoiler code again? XD) |

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

It's a given that Captain Falcon is in, so I think he'll be unlockable, (hence why he's yet to appear anywhere) and what we have now will be the default stuff. (Stuff meaning general things, not just characters.) |
