The original will most likely hit the Monday before Brawl's release, similar to how others have been, ie metroid/super metroid, and SMB3. Or sometime around then :p.

I know we've discussed this a lot, but I really hope that they release it soon enough that we can have some real time to play it before Brawl comes out. They do have more time to release it now :p

Yeah, that's a really unique one. Probably the most interesting Pokemon technique brought to Smash Bros. yet. That's not all, though. They're having a documented interview between Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and HAL's Masahiro Sakurai. Kinda interesting.

Interesting especially since Brawl was announced before they had even discussed it! XD

I'll tell you what would happen if that's the case...:

Your opponent: "DANG YOU, MANAPHY!!!"
And I'm probably being a bit on the polite side in a lot of people's cases. :eggman: Still, I get the feeling that a particular distance is required for this to work or that you have to be on your feet or something. Just a hunch... Regardless, I'm also amazed by Manphy's Heart Swap ability's effect in this game, and it just continues to add spice to a game already overflowing with variety.

As for the interview, I found that to be very worthwhile. To see what has been done for the sake of creating ONE GAME is pretty mindblowing stuff. This obviously isn't an ordinary project by anyone's standards, and that just goes to show you how important and big Nintendo believes this game is. 100 members working on one game... Wow...

Switching characters with your opponent in the middle of the match is just priceless! That'd be the same thing as swapping controllers in the middle of the match (except damage percentage doesn't change).

And what I find the most shocking about the interview is that the game is being made by mostly people who didn't even work on the previous 2 Smash Bros. games. Also this interview explains to us why this is supposed to be the last Smash Bros game (without saying that, of course).

I don't believe that for a second. Nintendo loves money far too much to let the series die. We probably just won't see a sequel for a decade or so...
