Yeah, and nice avatars they got there, too.
;) Little by little we're getting a little more of the game each day. I'm really interested in the game's controls, though. If that icon is any indication, it'll just use the Wii remote sideways like Sonic and the Secret Rings, Super Paper Mario, and NES VC games, but how does that fulfill all the different controls of a Super Smash Bros. game? I wouldn't mind using a d-pad for movement, but wasn't a joystick needed for proper smashing? I guess it might use the nun-chuck as well, but I actually wouldn't mind if it used the classic controller. I hope they add some info on that before too long. I wonder what weapons Link will carry this time around.
I heard you might/can use the Classic Controller and GCN controller w/ this. Oh and anyone remember the GCN like controller where you put the Wiimote inside of it? Maybe that'll be used for it.
What you're talking about was pretty much a mock-up design of a shell that pretty much look like the Classic Controller today. I don't think that was an actual controller design, but instead, it was basically fan-made.
From what has been said to this point, you will have to use the GCN or Classic Controllers for this game. As Project: Shadow pointed out, it would be hard to perform basic, power, and smash attacks with a D-Pad. That probably explains wh no SSB game has been announced for a portable system at this point. It just wouldn't work that well with a pad.
And Metroid, I see Kirby and Pikachu coming up next. Just a guess... :eggman:

Well. . .there is the nunchuck attachment for analog movement. But the option to play w/ the CC and GCN controller would be nice. I'd probably use the CC.

I hope they just make a Super Smash Bros. Controller, wouldn't that be awesome? But we pretty much know that it won't use just the Wii Remote Project: Shadow

Touche on the nunchuk attachment comment. That didn't come to mind when I made my last post, for some odd reason.
:p Since SSB doesn't really use a lot of buttons, I guess it's possible to have the Wii Remote... Still, it might feel a bit odd for this type of game.
I really hope Nintendo goes the extra mile when it comes to SSBB extras. Not only would I like to see a SSBB Controller, but having things like the soundtrack easier to get and maybe even a Collector's Edition of the game would be pretty nice. I'm not trying to get anyone's hopes up, though. Heck, I dion't even seeing this happening, but it doesn't hurt to dream and this is the kind of game that could be successful this way.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl looks like Nintendo's most epic game to date, I too wish they'd release a collector's edition. Also the soundtrack would be nice, glad I was subscribed to NP when they gave 'em out
:p

A collector's edition with a Master Hand figure. And BTW they should make one of those arcade joysticks for Wii so we can play Street Fighter II on VC in style.

Microsoft made one, why not Nintendo?

It's strictly GC controller...

It's strictly GC controller...
Last time I checked, that was just most likely rather than confirmed. I'm sure the Classic Controller would work just as well.
