There aren't really that many winners on XBLA or PSN either. Though of course there are a few gems, but the same can be said for Wii/Wiiware.

I would disagree with that but thats more based on taste then anything else.

I have a bunch of games from both the Live Arcade and PSN, none from Wiiware. And that will only grow with TMNT, Marvel Vs capcom, and fat princess coming out (to name a couple)

It has been announced that Tales of Monkey Island will be available on WiiWare Monday, July 27.

That sounds like a good WiiWare title at least. What of VC? I don't know...

At least the Wiiware games were good for the most part, Monkey Island sounds great, and the 3 Muskateer game actually doesn't sound half bad. Nothing that I had been waiting for, but I saw the video and the art direction was pretty interesting.

Well Nintendo of America let's us know why there is a lack of VC:

Quote:

"We understand your concern about the lack of service on the VC as of late. Due to sales numbers being far greater recently on Wiiware than on Virtual Console, we have decided to steer in the direction of WiiWare. Also, we in America have NO plans to update the Internet Channel or the Nintendo Channel. We hope you understand”

I can understand showing Wiiware more love, that makes perfect sense, but to ignore VC completely? That's losing you money. I mean the VC is much cooler than the XBLA or the PSN, but when you don't support it, it's just there and doesn't look as impressive. There are so many games they could release and them not choosing to do so is just idiotic. If you're going to buy Earthbound you're going to buy it whether it's the 32nd game or 500th game released, we don't need to wait for these stupid milestones to get quality games.
