I heard Neo-Geo games may make it onto VC as well. :D Anyone got any favorite Neo-Geo games here? I like Viewpoint and Blazing Star.

No. . .can't say that I do XD. Wasn't there a Sonic game on the Neo Geo? Or am I thinking of something else. . .:p. Well IF there was, it would of been the Neo Geo pocket.
EDIT: I just did my own research it was for Neo Geo Pocket, I doubt they'll put handheld games on but if they do that'd be a cool one to get :D.

Neo-Geo was awesome. Like having the arcade at home. $600 too 0_o just like PS3 lol :p There was also the Neo CD which was cheaper but had load times on some games that were exceedingly long.

Viewpoint is a great example of one of the many awesome shmups on the Neo.

Wee! Look at that! That's the ship on the title screen.

It has a great soundtrack, so good that Sammy (the company) didn't even bother to remix it when they made a CD version. Lotsa hip-hop/electronic/jazz going on. The first level tune is quite memorable. "One, two, three, four, hit it!"

Plus it's HARD. Like R-Type hard. It's isometric too so you can be somewhat disoriented by the...you guessed it, viewpoint. But the graphics look cool and some levels are innovative (one level has these rotating turnstile thingies that you have to shoot to open gates, later on there's panels on the floor that flip over that you must avoid).

So IMO, a good example of what the Neo-Geo can do. :o

Well I got 1000 Wii points, so I got Donkey Kong Country, which means I have 200 points left. So next time I get 1000 points I'll be able to mark off Dungeon Explorer and Splatterhouse :D. Assuming that Splatterhouse comes out in March like it's said to and I gets points after it's release.

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
ZeetherKID and I were talking about this yesterday. What other systems (the games of the systems that is) would you like to see on the VC?

I'd like to see Dreamcast games on there. There are a few DC games I'd like to try, like Skies of Arcadia.

And it probably won't happen but I'd like to see Game Boy games on it too.

Under Defeat and Border Down. Both are by a company called G.Rev that was formed by some former Taito members. Really great shmups :)

Also, Jet Set Radio and Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram are good. They could add online play to VO over WiFi...

And Daytona USA. DAYTONAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! *sings "Let's Go Away"*

I'd like to see Gameboy also, and Sega Saturn and CD. I don't see why they couldn't add GB games, I mean they're not that large. . .I remember Super Mario Land 2 being like 4 MBs and that was PUSHING the limit.

  • Super Ghouls and Goblins- SNES
  • Elevator Action- NES
  • Sword of Vermillion- Genesis

I would get Sword, but I don't wanna waste $8 when it's on a Sega Genesis Collection with 18+ other games for $20. . .other ones are meh I don't think I'll get 'em. . .for now. I still hope to see Splatterhouse, hopefully next week?
