Alien Soldier is a great game, it's by Treasure and is somewhat like Gunstar Heroes. It only came out in the US on Sega Channel too.

I assume it's a dollar more because it was never actually released other than on Sega ChanneL?

Right, it's listed as an import title.

I downloaded my Super Mario Bros 3 w00t! I like to go through all the worlds when I play, so I'm on World 3 (the water one). Plus I don't know all the little tricks like some people do, for instance, anyone here know where I can find the first whistle?

What a shame, I won't be able to get it. No biggey though, there's still loads to do in The Lost Levels that can definatly hold me over til I get SMB3.

Like make it past world 2 in Lost Levels? I seriously haven't been able to make it very far

Ahhh the lost levels. That game is beyond hard. Took me weeks to get through it. I played it on Mario Bros Deluxe on GBC. I would get th VC version but I put that headache behind me. lol.

Oh jeez, if you found the Deluxe version hard, then definatly avoid the original if you don't want headaches. The Deluxe version is a very heavily watered down version!

The first available whistle was in World 1-3. Right near the end of the level, you'll see those different colored platforms. One of them happens to be a white platform (you'll know because there's a Koopa on it). Make sure to clear out any enemy in between this point and the exit before doing the next step. Stand on the white platform hold down for a few seconds. You'll drop from the platform and be behind the background. Run to the exit; when you get to the black area, you'll notice that you won't see yourself, but keep running. Eventually, you'll find a secret Toad House, where he'll give you a whistle.

Oops! I just noticed that I didn't put "white." Thanks, Project:Shadow. :p

Yup, and another one is found at the World 1 fort. Don't go through the first door that's guarded by a Dry Bones, get a Super Leaf from the ? Block, knock Dry Bones down, get a good running start and fly up and over the ceiling above. You'll have to go off-screen and approach it twice in mid-air before you can make it over. Walk across the top of it until you can't go any further and press up to go through the unseen door. The whistle is there in a chest.

I thought I would share a tip about the game.

At the end of a level with the card box. Its programmed to give you a card based on where Mario hits it. If you hit it at a 45 Degree angle it will give a star.
