Well, yeah, I looked her up on Wiki as well trying to figure out what Zeether was referring to and it did mention her "sex appeal." But c'mon, that's not really something that they could take out of the game even if they wanted to. Besides, it's only 16 bit :p And all the VC games are rated, right? KOF will probalby get a 'T' rating. And thanks HMS, I have exactly 900 pts on my account right now. Is this a coincidence? I dunno but having the exact amount of points makes it pretty tempting... |

Well it's more of a question as to whether they would, not really could :p. But we'll just have to find out XD, not that anyone should care :p. |

No, I meant COULD. Alter the character models and art in a game that's over ten years old? That's ridiculous to even think of. And yeah, we wouldn't care, I've never played the game before anyways, but I'm sure series fans would be angry. |

I know you meant COULD, but WOULD is more logical. Remember quite a few other VC games have had slight edits, this isn't ridiculous at all. And er, sorry I edited the last word in your post >_>. |

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

Apparently Mai's breasts don't move around as much in this one compared to later games anyway. :p |

If we're thinking about the same game edits here that would require re-drawing Mai's in-game character art which is ridiculous. But that's enough arguing about what Nintendo can or cannot do to an old game. The better point to discuss is the ratings. As we all know the games are rated by the current standards before they're put on VC. So rather than edit the content of a game it's just rated appropriately. KOF 94 has been rated T for Alcohol Reference, Animated Blood, Violence, Mild Language, and Mild Suggestive Themes. I think that eventually Nintendo will probably allow the release of more VC games that are given higher content ratings like Mature. |

First off, we must be thinking different edits, also, this is just ONE character animation, honestly it's not like they're changing the whole game, Splatterhouse saw a much bigger edit, HECK, putting the features in Pokemon Snap probably took more work than taking out the animation! While I may have never said it, all along I agree with you it's unlikely, however MY ppoint is trying to get it through to you that it's not so ridiculous and you make it sound like an impossible task. And also, who said Nintendo doesn't allow M rated games? For the most part there weren't really a lot of M rated games in the older consoles, remember, so it's kind of a hit and miss, Nintendo allows M rated titles on the Wii, why would they not do it for the VC? And FYI, it's not up to Nintendo, it's up to SNK what they do to the game, NIntendo has no control over what they'd edit in the content or what, Nintendo doesn't even choose release dates for the other non-Nintendo consoles, nor what does and doesn't go up for that matter(though I'm sure if there was a hentai game they wouldn't allow it :p, but I hope you know where I'm getting at). |

Oh, we were thinking of different edits. You weren't talking about less revealing costumes or size reduction surgery, just removing the bouncy motion. I suppose that could be done, but there's really no reason to and like you said edits in games provided by other companies aren't up to Nintendo anyways. And you make another good point, pretty much the only games that got a mature rating back then were for violence, mostly fighting games like Mortal Kombat. What was edited in Splatterhouse? |
