I am going to attend the one at my local gamestop. I may even partake in the tournament they are having, but only if it's prior to the release of the game if it's after midnight then no I won't because I want to get home w/ it! :p |

I agree about the tournament, if it's before then it'll probably be Melee, if it's after 12 get home and start Brawl'n! I didn't know GameStop stores were having midnight releases for it. Until now I still thought that they were not. If my store is then I'll deffinitely be there at midnight to get my Brawl! |

Some may not so don't jump the gun right away be sure to call you rlocal store(kinda talking to everyone XD). Also the tournament very well could be Brawl. They're doing tournaments now(started on the 16th i believe) around the country that is featuring Brawl. I think Brawl would be more logical since they'll already have the copies, but again who knows it may even depend on the store. |

Yeah, but that's Nintendo doing those tournaments. At least at our store, for instance, all we could have for the Halo 3 release was a Halo 2 Tournament |

While I agree it's possible, but I'm not going to rule it out just yet. |

http://www.gamestop.com/gs/ssbb/tournament/default.asp The tournament isn't a one day thing, and the page has Brawl all over it, and no mention of Melee, I'm going to bet everything that it'll be Brawl tourney. |

Wow, I'm impressed, and they are having it at my store. Thanks for the link. Definitely a Brawl tournament, but surely they wouldn't wait to start it at Midnight, would they? That'd last all morning :/ Plus, no matter how it's done none of the characters and stages would be available at the start of the tournaments |

Most likely rules would be no items, and starting roster only. Also I heard from someone that they'll probably start around 9 ish. Though it might depend on the store. My advice is just call the participating store for more info. I dunno if I'll partake no matter what time it is. I' may go early though just to wait so I don't have to wait forever just to get it :p. |

I read the rules and it says the winners will be declared on the 8th so that means it has to be before anyone gets their Brawl. Since that's the case I plan on giving it a shot 'cause what better to do while you wait for your Brawl than get an early chance to play it? Anyways, for those of you who are too lazy to go read the rules for yourselves it will be one on one minute elimination matches. The winner from each participating store will move on to the next round. I would wait for 22 matches to be played before I go so I could be Luigi, but I play better as Samus anyways (plus I probably won't have a choice of when I go). You can't use your own controllers and the rules say nothing about what type of controllers will be used so that part has me very curious (it'll probably just be up to each store). I imagine a lot of people won't even play without a Gamecube controller :p |
