I pre-ordered at a mall store for 1 and two. I don't go for that midnight opening crap. If people can wait about a year and a half for the game they can wait an extra 8 hours... >_>;

You took the words right out of my mouth (including the whole pre-ordering at a mall store thing).

Besides, I'd rather be at home watching SNL than sitting outside a store for hours.

Uh. It's all about the experience. :p Going to a place where a bunch of fans are. It's not like you go and sit on the floor for a few hours, buy the game, and go home. It's a fun, social experience. Really, I love SNL, but I'd rather be out with my friends doing this.

I do have to say experiences like these are pretty exhilerating. Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End was 10x better seeing it THursday night at 8:30 then it would've been seeing it on a Saturday after noon after initial release. Same goes for other movies or events :p.

Me and my friend are going. My grampa is the manger at Sam's Club and he is opening it at that time. (Maybe I could get a copy early. :p)

I've been thinking about skipping class on the Monday as well (everyone else at my school probably will be for the same reason)

Actually it is just like that. The only time I went to a midnight opening was for the Gamecube, Wii, and 360 launches. The the 360 and Wii launchs was because I HAD to be.

I made the choice for Gamecube. Just me and my friend waiting for the store to open while playing Mario Bros on GBA.

Now a MOVIE midnight opening now that is either really fun or really lame. Depends on the movie and the people who go.

Well hey, different parts of the country and different people. Maybe BR lives in a more friendly place (like for instance people in more rural areas are typically more friendly than city people at least from my experiences and I've lived in both)

And while you're waiting in line people are more inclined to talk to you, tell stories ect. If you're just walking into the store it's not as common for someone w/ similar interests to just walk up to you and talk. But as Gamma said I suppose it could just be where you live.

Sitting on the floor or not, I'm patient so neither scenario really bothers me. Sounds like a good time for some DS multiplayer to me. That is if we're not doing tournament stuff at that time.
