I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
Too many links to post! I recommend just looking at sites like GoNintendo to keep up with all the new info posted.

Yeah that's pretty much the best way to go. . .

Also I'm really considering just pre ordering it off of Amazon and canceling my Gamestop pre order. If I'm able to get an order through Amazon that means I'm guaranteed a console at launch correct? Usually they stop taking pre orders after a while, but I'm not sure if they just continually take pre orders on consoles and just ship them when they get them.

Im planning on ordering on soon, probably friday. I don't have to have on launch day. I mean I really only want Resident Evil Mercs, and Super Street Fighter 4.

I want one day one, however, if it doesn't happen I won't be too terribly distraught over it. Like you I pretty much only want Mercs(I don't need SSF4, I may get it but as of now I'm not counting on it) at launch, and perhaps Pilot Wings, so its not like anything I have to run out and buy and if I don't get it immediately I'll be at a loss.

I have no idea how long Amazon will be taking pre-orders, or if they will have enough for everyone. I Imagine they would stop taking pre-orders if they go past their limit. I never pre-ordered a system from Amazon before, afterall. All I know is I have had bad experiences with GameStop in the past, and would rather not risk it now. I remember the Gamecube launch, only the first 50 people who pre-ordered got their system. Luckily I was one of those 50.

i think it will be easier then we all think. Keep in mind Christmas just went by, parents arn't gonna shell out for another nintendo DS so soon. In the average parents eyes it will be just a remodel not a new unit. Frankly I think you will probably be able to walk into your local best buy a week after launch and be able to find one without much problem.

I think you could probably be right. I mean this isn't a children's toy at this point for $250. The Wii may have been $250, but that's for the whole family, handhelds are much more personalized.

One game that looks really cool to me is AR Games. Apparently that comes packed in with the 3DS. I guess you place a card on the table and the camera sees that card, and then a monster pops out at you and you shoot it. This kind of thing has been done before on the PSP with Invizimals, but I hear the technical aspect with that game wasn't so great. Seems like a pretty interesting idea and if it's free with the system, then even better.

Yeah the AR ideas sound really cool. Glad it comes with the system at launch. I've seen a few different games on the internet and they all look pretty fun.
