I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
Yeah, I hope they're not rushing it.

I wonder how it'll play? It looks like Mario Galaxy Portable.

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. Galaxy 2 in particular. Where it mixed side scrolling with adventuring.

Wow thats pretty cool to hear! If Zelda and Mario come out at the shop's launch as well(I'm assuming they will since they've been demo'd to death) I think I'll have quite a few titles to buy.

And here I thought we were only getting Game Boy games for the 3DS VC. Guess some NES games will be available as well.

Yeah Nintendo has said that they will have a line up of NES 3D classics. I think they've showed off Punch-Out!! in 3D as well, and Xevious too I believe.

EDIT: Here's an article from E3 2010 that goes a little more in-depth about the 3D classics and some of the ones Nintendo showed off.

Interesting, I don't really expect 3D to add much to those NES games and I already have most of them on the Wii, but then I saw Yoshi's Island in that list, not to mention Super Mario World ... SNES games too? Yoshi's Island is one of my favorite games period, so if they add a little bit of depth to that, I'm sold.

I was hoping kind of StarFox 64 would use the gyro sensor. That sounds pretty cool.

Yay I'm FINALLY posting about the 3DS! I've had so much I want to comment about it. Now I've read up on your posts, so here I go.

I too had my 3DS pre-ordered on Amazon, so I was very pleased that I got a 3DS game and a free accessory both with free shipping for only $4.99 :) I got PilotWings Resort, but I have only played it a couple times so far. Soon I'll be moving further away from work (really close to where Jeremy lives actually, haha), so I'm going to have lots of handheld time on my long commute.

Overall I think the 3DS is great, but dang Nintendo sure did give us just the bare-bones hardware! When first trying out my new 3DS I found so many things that said "This feature will become available in a future system update" or something like that. I guess that gives us lots of things to look forward to, eh? The online capabilities seem to have a lot of potential, but none of it can be used now. While I'm on that, at first I thought it was so cool that Nintendo was finally online with a friend list that let's you see who's online and what they are playing... but then I realized that you can't even chat with your friends :/ C'mon Nintendo, really? I hope this gets improved with these updates that the system keeps mentioning to me whenever I tap on things, haha.

It's really cool that the 3DS came with a cheap plastic docking cradle; it's nice, but I quickly realized that I would've rather it came with a hip clip like cell phones have. Nintendo is promoting the idea of carrying your 3DS around with you everywhere using StreetPass and counting your steps to earn play coins game cases, so wouldn't a clip be perfect? I have been carrying my 3DS with me using StreetPass and while it's great that it fits nicely in my pockets, it isn't too comfortable to carry aournd like that. I think the play coins are a great idea for encouraging physical activity and getting you to carry your 3DS around with you, but it's too easy to get the 1,000 steps in a day for the max number of 10 play coins. I really wish you could keep getting play coins to encourage more walking; they could make it give you another coin for every additional 1,000 steps or something like that would be great. I've been carrying my 3DS to work everyday and doing so I've actually streetpassed 3 different people (I was surprised I actually passed anyone!) and get my 10 coins each day. I also hope that they'll introduce more ways to earn play coins. I didn't know that some of the launch games actually use your coins, that's really cool. That and other things Bermuda said make me want to get Lego Star Wars III, that's really too bad that it's glitchy :(. Maybe I'll get Street Fighter instead. Speaking of the games, I really like the new 3DS game cases, particularly because they're almost half as thick as DS game cases, so they take up less shelf space ^_^

The 3D itself is good, I'm happy with it. It took a little while to get used to at first, but now it doesn't bother me at all and I like using it turned all the way up :). I'm looking forward to being able to get 3D movies on the 3DS someday that I can watch on my commute. And oh yeah, I have trouble finding my new stylus too and then have trouble getting it out, but it's great that it's retractable so it fits in the system and is a comfortable size. As for the joystick (or circle pad or whatever), it's really comfortable; I really like it :D. The d-pad isn't convenient at all, but I haven't really noticed probably because I haven't had a need to use it much. We'll see about that when we can start downloading GameBoy games. Btw, PilotWings makes great use of the new joystick ;). And I didn't even notice that you can use the circle pad on DS games, I didn't try any after Pokemon looked like crap. I said I'm sticking with my DSi XL for playing my DS games, but I didn't know about the select and start thing so I guess I'll give that a try at least for kicks. I'd gotten used to using the XL, so the 3DS seemed really tiny when I first got it, haha.

Lastly, I'll comment on the (hopefully near) future. The 3DS Store launch is looking like it's going to be great! Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype? Awesome! 3D classics? I'd forgotten about those too, but I look forward to checking them out with the free Excitebike :) (which happens to be one of the few Nintendo games that I don't already have on Wii VC because I already had it on e-reader). Any word on when the store will ever launch? I read late May somewhere, but that's lame. And I'll definitely be getting Ocarina of Time 3D in June because, although I have it, I haven't played the Master Quest either!

Glad you're enjoying it Gamma!

I have to say the circle pad really is comfortable! And yeah the eShop is still slated for just "Late May". Since we're only a few days away from May I really wish it was "early May" :P.
