There's a rumor that two new Zeldas similar to the Oracle games will be coming to the 3DS. Prophecy of Fire and Prophecy of Ice.

I'm leaning towards this being fake, but it would be neat if it were real.
I think it would be awesome, but I'm also thinking fake. I loved the Oracle games, and I want them on 3DS VC. It seems that developing games is very time consuming these days, and developing two at a time is less realistic then it was 10 years ago. I could be wrong though, as I know nothing about game development.

Looks fake to me to, but that'd be sweet if it was real!

What about Pokemon games? They always come in two's, buy they're the same game just with a few tweaks to differentiate them so they can release two games and rake in even more money than just releasing one game.
But as I haven't played the Oracles yet, were the differences between the two much more than between two Pokemon games? The reason for having two Pokemon games at a time besides making more money is to promote trading and battling with different types of Pokemon between the different versions of the game: it's adds a socially interactive level to encountering and collecting all the Pokemon. So what was the differentiating reason for having a set of two Zelda games?

The oracle games were totally different games. Each had different dungeons, characters, maps and gimmicks.

Yeah, Oracle of Seasons and Ages were two completely different games. Ages took place in the land of Labrynna, while Seasons was in Holodrum. So both games have different worlds to explore. Each game had different bosses, dungeons, weapons and all that other stuff. After you beat one game, you would get a password to put in the other game so you could carry over certain elements into the next game. It didn't matter which game you played first. It was kind of like one story set across two separate games. And by completing both games, you would get to fight the real final boss. It was really cool. Ages had you traveling back and forth through time, while Seasons let you alter the seasons to change the landscape.

There was supposed to be a third game, but apparently there were too many complications with that so it was scrapped.

Man, that is cool! It makes me want to play them a lot more. Since it just used passwords for carrying over from one game to the other rather than having to game link, there should be no complications or left out features for re-releasing the games on 3DS VC!

Yeah I want them to come out on the 3DSVC soon as well!

These were two games I always wanted to play when I was younger but just never got around to buying them.

In Japan and Europe people who registered 2 or more 3DS titles on Club Nintendo got 3D Classics: Kid Icarus for free, unfortunately North America isn't getting that promotion.

However, it will be a pre-order bonus for Kid Icarus Uprising.

I plan on getting both games anyhow, so that's not such a big deal. I just kind of wish we got the promotion too so I could play it sooner.

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
North America will get 3D Classics: Kid Icarus from pre-ordering Uprising from Gamestop, Best Buy or Amazon. Info
