Oh that's pretty cool. I really liked Epic Mickey, despite its flaws. I'm looking forward to the sequel. Only other Mickey game I've played was Mickey Mania on Genesis. That was also pretty good. Edited by Super Bermuda, Mar 21 2012, 12:27 AM.

I have Mickey Mania on Genesis as well :) To think about it I don't remember playing any other Mickey games either. I'm still interested in trying Epic Mickey if given the opportunity. Also, I reserved my Kid Icarus and paid it off :) With all the stuff it comes with I just couldn't resist (stand, 3D Classics, AR Cards, and a Sakurai slew of gameplay)! |

Epic Mickey was a fantastic game, there were a few problems (your painting decisions don't stay was terrible! and the camera was poor sometimes) but the good outweighed the bad. |

Random thoughts. . . so with all these indie game makers doing kick starters as of late to get games made has gotten me think of something. Anyone think it'd be great if Capcom did that for a title like Mega Man Legends 3? Which was largely fan driven to begin with. I don't think it'd ever happen, especially since Capcom is such a big corporation, but I think it'd be pretty cool for them to try. And while we're on this topic, any lost games you'd like to see revived via a kickstarter or something like that? (perhaps 3DS eShop related?) Edited by Hyper Metal Sonic, Apr 11 2012, 07:59 PM.

I am for indie developers using kickstarter to get the funds to make games, but not companies like Capcom. They can afford it, I am with Jim Sterling on this one, I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen in the near future. But I am willing to bet Ubisoft will use it to get Beyond Good and Evil 2 released. Not cause they need the money to do it, but because they see it as an opportunity to cut development costs and then turn around and charge players the full $60 to get the game. IMO big companies using kickstarter is like them holding their games hostage, and the "fundraiser" is the ransom. A great example I think is the AVGN using it to get the money to make his movie. He asked for $75k and got $300k. Once he reached his goal he just kept taking. |

Well quite a few of the indie ones have it set up so if you donate $15 or more you get the game in question for "free" upon release. Pretty much like a pre-order if you will. I think that's a good system to go. I'd be slightly wary about donating to a kickstarter that didn't give me something more than a sticker for donating. I also agree that it'd be terrible for big companies to use it merely as an excuse to save themselves a buck and not actually use the kickstarter as a tool to help them. He didn't hold the movie hostage, people kept willingly donating before the time to donate was up. It was good since it meant they could maintain creative control over the movie if it was funded entirely by fans. |

The AVGN thing is not worth debating. In my eyes he got greedy, he could have funded it himself and best case even with $300k he will produce a barely watchable piece of garbage that only his die hard fans would pay for twice. (Since only his die hard fans would actually paid to make it) |

If you don't want to debate it then why are you still going on about it? If you don't want to argue then don't, don't say it's not worth it then proceed to do it anyway. If you're going to be like that then forget I said anything. |
