Even if its true, all it is is a bigger screen but the same resolution, so I'll be sticking with the original DSi I intend on getting for Christmas.

Speaking of

As for that though...I dunno, doesn't sound believable, but I've been wrong before.
For now I'm going to go along with the giant screen thing not being true, unless it is the new DS with the Nvidia Tegra technology.

I heard about the DS/Nvidia deal a couple weeks ago and should've mentioned it here, but now that it has been brought up I'd like to say that even though many DSi owners may be distraught at the thought of a new DS coming out next year, I welcome the new technology. I think it's high time that Nintendo finally step up their hardware's graphics capabilities and I'm looking forward to it. So I hope this Nvidia partnership is true and can include Nintendo's next home console or Wii upgrade as well.

And about that, I was originally against the thought of Nintendo releasing a new Wii with much improved graphics capabilities and processing power, but the more I've thought about it the more I've warmed up to the idea. Now I've decided that I would love such a thing and hope that Nintendo's next move is along those lines (at least give us graphics capabilities rivaling that of the 360 and PS3 so that there can be better 3rd party support in general).

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
I don't think the next handheld would come out next year. Maybe announced next year but I don't expect the next one to come out until at least 2011.

I also have the feeling that it would be a true successor to the DS, not another version of it.

This is why I wasn't sure of myself, because I'm always proven wrong.

I could understand why some older folk or freakishly large hands would want this, but I simply do not need a DSi that big DX. I'll be sticking with buying a blue DSi come Christmas.

Yeah...I like the color but it's looks too big. I think I'll just get a DSi eventually. I don't need multimedia stuff anyway.

I think the larger size may make it cumbersome and awkward to play certain games. However, jumbo screens are cool. And yet, I wonder what the battery life would be like with jumbo screens. I'll have to wait and see.

Apparently it has 1-3 hours more battery life than the DSi depending on how bright the screen is.
