It's also worth says on the 31st a new reward, a 3DS XL charge cradle in various colors. 500 coins.

Those are so cool looking! Really dig the colors. I don't have an XL though so I won't get one.

For anyone curious, the XL chargers all sold out within 45 minutes :P.

Nintendo says they're not sure if they'll be adding more. I bet in a few months they will, they're pretty good about doing second runs for these types of things.

But anyhoo, new month, new set of digital games!

We've got Metroid (3DS, NES) Dillon's Rolling Western (3DSware) A Link to the Past (Wii) and Art Style: Cubello (Wii)

I am going with Dillon for sure this month, but might also check out Cubello.

New games, this time for Wii U. Balloon Fight and Super Mario Bros 2 (japan). This the first time we're getting Wii U vc games? I got Balloon Fight when it was $.30. Wish they brought back those deals again.

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
Yeah, this is the first time we've gotten a Wii U VC game there. I say game since Lost Levels is actually for Wii despite there being a Wii U label on it.

The gifts for this year have been revealed, and sadly leave a bit to be desired... Its all virtual console games. Kind of a let down. I was kinda hoping for a Mario 3D world sound track. Call me entitled but of the games offered I have all the ones I want, if I don't have them it is because they didn't interest me in the first place. I will probably get Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D even though I didn't really care for it on the Wii...

Here is the list of games.

Platinum:

Game & Wario
NES Remix
Earthbound
Dr. Luigi
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3DS
Fluidity: Spin Cycle
Dillon’s Rolling Western
Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the move

Gold:

Ice Climber
Kid Icarus
Super Mario Bros
Zelda II: Adventures of Link
Donkey Kong 3
Wario Land 2
Metroid
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins

I'm not going to complain about a free game since this is a service Nintendo doesn't have to do (and not many other companies do it, and do it as well as Nintendo. Microsoft's and Square Enix's, to name a few, pale in comparison) but I would be lying if I said I wasn't bummed there were no physical rewards. I was satisfied with buttons, cards, and CDs of the previous year, I"m not that hard to please!

But, I went ahead and got Game & Wario since it was the biggest value, and gave me a small boost in my DDP.

I hope Wario Land II pops up as a regular reward very soon. I'd redeem that in a heart beat.

I actually own most of those. Well, I don't have Donkey Kong 3. I guess that's what I'm stuck with.

Yeah, that's easily the biggest bummer about the whole thing, and can easily see that as being a solid negative point as to why its a bad reward.

Club Nintendo's going away. I guess they'll be starting a new rewards program somewhere down the line. We will be getting Flipnote Studio 3D for free next month, though.
