Okay I just beat him. Here's what you need to do

-Shoot off his armor with the charged Plasma beam when he's not holding out his hand. Each piece should break with maybe two shots.

-When he goes invisible, put on your X-ray Visor and watch every Phazon pool until you see him appear.

-The Pirates he calls out when he goes invisible? Ignore them. Stay focused on finding the Omega Pirate. (This is assuming you have enough Energy Tanks to do that) If you can't ignore them, try to take them out quickly since it'll be a bit before he shows up on your X-ray Visor.

-When he appears in one of the Phazon pools, hit him with a Super Missile. A charged Plasma Beam shot will do a good amount of damage as well. After he's hit, he'll teleport to another pool. After doing that maybe two or three times, he'll have his armor back on and be visible again. His Wave Quake attack will also kill any Pirates it hits.

Repeat until you're wearing that stylish Phazon Suit.

Sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar. I'll give that strategy a go.

No problem. Like I said, he's easy if you know what to do. And now you know.

I just beat him and found an alternate strategy as well. A well placed Power Bomb will destroy all his armor in one hit. :hypersonic:

At first I was dying because I was trying to use Super Missiles to destroy the armor and that wasn't as effective as I hoped. Also, I would try to fight off his henchmen which would leave me little time to actually fight him. He went down pretty easy.

That sounds familiar. I think I knew about that but forgot. The only enemies I really use Power Bombs on are Fission Metroids.

Yeah using SMs to destroy the armor is really inefficient. The Plasma Beam is really powerful, and usually enough to take out tough targets.

Heh, had I not been at work I would've offered similar advice to Dragon as that battle was still pretty fresh to me. I kept wanting to use super missiles too. I never tried power bombs, but I have come to realize that power bombs practically solve everything (especially those annoying Fission Metroids).

Just beat Metroid Prime on HyperMode. The bosses in this game are actually not too tough at all so long as you know the strategy. MP2, on the other hand, is just unfair. I never beat MP2 on hypermode back in the gamecube days. Wonder if it'll ever happen. I had a tough time on just normal mode.

Seriously. I also heard that for the European version of MP2, hard is the only difficulty you can play on. Ouch.

I'm trying to find the Artifacts in MP. I have 77% I think. I'm trying to go for 100% items and scans, though I'm still missing two Pirate logs...

I sent ya some more friend vouchers, Bermuda. I've got 5 more if anyone else needs some. I just made it to the Pirate Homeworld. Speaking of scans, I've continued my 'tradition' of missing one the first time in each game. I missed scanning Gandrayda in the elevator. I was scanning all three hunters, but the cut scene ended as I was scanning her. I'm definitely convinced. This is my favorite game in the Metroid series, and Phazon Metroids are awesome. I was loving the whole scenario when I accidentally unleashed them in my efforts to snag the seeker launcher. Room goes dark, creepy music plays, and rad, blue Metroids with ghosting powers show up. So much for the ice missile strategy. Looks like Metroids got smarter, huh? And then they laugh at you. Seriously, what's up with that? XD

Try sending me a voucher and see if it works. Unless MPT really doesn't work with MP3.

The Phazon Metroids were annoying. Cheap little jellies, going all ghost-like and preventing me from damaging them...
