I just played the demo for Star Wars Republic Heroes on my 360 and I wasn't very impressed. I didn't encounter any problems with it, I just felt that the simple controls don't give the player much differentiation. What I mean is as a Jedi you just press X repeatedly to attack with your lightsaber and Y to use force push and that's about it. I don't think there's even a combo system for attacking, it appears that you'll just push X a whole bunch. You can jump and double jump with A and block with L. As for playing as the Clone Troopers you're shooting aimlessly (R), which I think is lame. You can sort of aim with the right stick, but it only alters the left and right direction of your shots also makes you shoot because pushing the right stick in any direction makes you shoot (good thing you have unlimited ammo). It doesn't make sense to me why they didn't make these parts FPS or a regular 3rd person shooter. The game is definitely made for co-op: two characters are always on screen. And if you die you just come right back where you were like in the LEGO games so that leads me to believe the game will be too easy. I wonder about the Wii version. This is yet another missed opportunity to use Wii motion plus for lightsaber control. Hopefully pressing X won't just translate to "shaking" the Wii remote, but it probably will :p . On the positive side the graphics are good and the characters, voices, theme, and style match right up with the animated series. So at this point I don't think I'll be getting this game. |

I played the demo last week as well. I didn't hate it, but I didn't like it, I will not be buying nor renting this title I'm simply going to pass. Though I only played as a Jedi, and I didn't even finish the demo. |

I already decided that I didn't want to spend my money on this game after playing the demo on 360, but I couldn't help but laugh at the point that RMC took out of this review: Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes is a below average adventure that's difficult to recommend, even as a rental. We suggest Force pushing it into a galaxy far, far away. |

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

That's a shame. Looked like it would've been kind of decent when it was first announced. |

Well, again, the demo was decent in my opinion, but I doubted that anyone would actually like the shooting sections because you can't even aim like you would in a normal FPS or 3rd person shooter. Certainly not the quality game that you'd expected from LucasArts. |

That's the same score as the review that I posted about, so they agree |

I don't find it too far fetched from playing the demo. |

I tried the demo of this. It was okay, I kind of liked the arcade beat em up style it had. (It seemed like that to me anyway). I think this would've been a decent kid's game if it had been a very cheap downloadable title. |
