I really don't see why anyone would want the original Smash Bros. The game has NOT aged well.

Its very bland and repetitive compared to either of the sequels. Even in its hay day it was a budget title.
Eh, I'm having fun with it. I agree that the game lacks a lot of features and just doesn't feel as well as the sequels, but I still find it fun.

That's why I'm not rushing to get it. I almost find it a tad painful to go back to it after Brawl, but like Dragon I'd like to revisit it soon for some nostalgia and just for the sake of replaying it.

I got the original today and I'm really enjoying it. It's still one of my favorite N64 games regardless of how it compares to its sequels.

SEGA is doing something rather unprecedented, they're having a sale on the virtual console. From December 24th to January 6th you'll be able to pick up certain SEGA games for only 500 points rather than 800 points:

Sonic
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Gunstar Heroes
Toe Jame & Earl
Puyo Puyo 2
Shining Force
Golden Axe
Altered Beast
Streets of Rage 2

I might finally pick up ToeJam and Earl. . .

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
A sale? On the Wii Shop Channel?!

Spoiler: click to toggle

Unfortunately, I already have all the Sonic games and Gunstar Heroes, and I know I don't want Golden Axe, Altered Beast and Streets of Rage 2.

So there's just Shining Force and Toe Jam & Earl. That's makes things easier at least.

I wish the Phantasy Star games were on sale, I might have gotten one of those. Though I guess I might as well get Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2, depending on how much it costs now.
