0_o Dude, I was just saying how much I loved the first Game & Watch Gallery, especially its music. I still have the game in good condition, though my Gameboys (Pocket, Color, and original Advance) are in less than stellar condition. I may just have to get the game anyway just because it's cool. I wish they'd continue the series with Game & Watch games that haven't been remade yet, though. Nowadays they could just release one collection with just about every Game & Watch title together on one cartridge plus modern versions and lots of other content. Whyyyyy woooon't theeeey?! > < That's cool about Netflix, even though I still have yet to sign up for it. Maybe some day. |

A nintendo email confirms all those updates for tomorrow. ANd yeah I'm really looking forward to Game and Watch, wish they'd do more with it besides just simple ports on the DSiware(though the DKJr one was cool). I might get that and Kirby sometime soon. |

I really wish they would optimize the Game & Watch Gallery games for dual screens, the ones that use it. For the first this only applies to Oil Panic, but it's one of my favorite and it'd be a lot easier and enjoyable with two screens. Out of the four, I think I spent to most time with Manhole. Playing the modern version with Yoshi is great. So Netflix raised their prices, huh? Just when I was inching closer to considering a subscription with them. Oh well. |

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

It's still $7.99 if you just want streaming. It does blow if you want both though. |

It's also $7.99 if you just want DVDs(though I guess in this topic that's not really a consideration). This whole debacle is rubbing me the wrong way since I've been a supporter and fan of Netflix for the past 3 or 4 years now. I just recently purchased Game and Watch and forgot how much I enjoyed it back in the day(to be quite honest part of me forgot I even owned it back in the day). I agree I think manhole is my favorite, with fire being a close second. |

Yeah, seems like a slap in the face to long time supporters. "Oh, we decided we want more money." Is there any reason for the price hike other than just because they can? I had been considering it for a while, but I'm one potential new customer they just blew off. I would want a little bit of both offers, but that's too much for my paycheck. I'm picky about monthly payments as I can barely deal with the three I have now (art school, truck insurance, and Internet). That's why I only use prepaid cell phone cards and sometimes go months without one (or I borrow somebody else's). I might think about it again once I finally get a better income, but there's no way right now. I think I like Manhole's modern version because of the difference in time you have to react. In the classic, if you miss holding up a cover in time that's an instant miss, but with Yoshi you have a chance to grab the cover as the Toad, Baby DK, Baby Yoshi, or Mini Mario is falling and pick them back up with it. It makes it a little easier and more intense at the same time. Oil Panic is also cool for the gameplay additions the modern version brings. Being introduced to the Game & Watch series with the Gallery games really spoiled me, I guess. That's why I've never had a whole lot of interest in Club Nintendo's collections or the DSiWare games. They're good, but they need more Mario (and Yoshi)! I want my modern versions! Sorry Mr. Game & Watch, you just don't hold my interest as long. |

In all honesty I don't think there is a reason beyond "they can". They're thought process is, most people either only stream, or only rent DVDs. For example, my family has two netflix accounts. One for me since I'm off in another state in college, and one for my brother and family back home. Back home my brother NEVER streams, he just rents movies. So for him, this new deal is ideal, he's actually saving money now by just getting a DVD only plan for $8. I have even read on gaming websites in comment sections that people would be more interested in Netflix if they had just a streaming plan(since so many game consoles have it now) so again, this new plan is very ideal to people like them. However, I'm the guy in the middle. I love renting movies and I also love streaming movies, I do both about equally. Now with this new structure there's no "deal" or "plan" for me. I just have to do both. According to some website's the price hike for me is going to be a 60% increase. Not very good in my opinion. I have until September till this pricing takes affect(though new members who sign up from now on start with this). I'm considering either cancelling my subscription completely or just going with a streaming plan. I'm really hoping there's a huge backlash. Also on this subject, Nintendo seems to think that Netflix will be getting 3D streaming content sometime in the near future. Nintendo made the comments and Netflix is neither confirming nor denying it. So I guess only time will tell. As for Game and Watch, yeah I really like that about modern manhole, I forgot about that feature and thought it was very welcome when I missed a toad. I forgot how to play Oil Modern and accidentally spilled oil all over DK Jr and Luigi XD. |

I got Game & Watch Gallery, great addition! And I've tried Netflix on my 3DS: it works great! Awesome! So I too am at ends about Netflix's change in plans: I'm the guy who enjoys having both too. The thing about people who just wanted one or the other and not both is the option to only have one or the other for $7.99 was already available before this change. I wouldn't mind if they went up a little on the price, but eliminating the option of having a deal for those who get both and making us pay $7.99 for each is just plain stupid! Why can't they give their loyal customers a fair price for those who want both instant and dvd? I've heard a lot of people talking about this; their announcement has raised a lot of hoobla and made a lot of their customers unhappy, so hopefully they'll get that and introduce a new DVD + Instant plan before September. |

Yeah, Netflix's blog is full of angry and upset customers complaining. Apparently Netflix is anticipating short term loss with these new plans(due to losing customers) but making more in the long run, so that's not too good to hear either. |

I just can't get used to these Thursday updates. But we got some stuff. Weekly Downloads Another 3d Classic. Xevious this time. Nintendo Video as well? I'll check it out. It's free after all. I guess we'll be downloading videos through SpotPass? I'll get back to you with my verdict. Edited by Super Bermuda, Jul 21 2011, 10:52 PM.
