I really wish we could get more N64 games on the Wii. Seriously, wheres Mario Party 3, Bomberman 64 (The second attack), either SnowBoard Kids, Dk 64, either Mystical Ninja, Mischief Makers, Mega Man 64!

WHERE I SAY WHERE!
All of those games are great, but man, the things I'd do for Mischief Makers. . .

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
I imagine it's emulation issues. Each VC game runs on an emulator made specifically for that game*, and Nintendo wants 100% accuracy. (or near-perfect accuracy in the case of N64 games)

*I haven't seen an official statement on that, but that's what I've heard and suspected myself. It makes sense really.

Yeah that's what I've heard and assumed as well.

The VC emulations have been some of the best I've ever seen. They may have lacked some of the features of others(save states for example, although 3DS VC has that now) but they've all mostly run flawlessly, and if they didn't, they were taken down (I think only one, maybe two have been, and I don't even remember which).

I know, I remember that coming up when people were clamoring for DK64. Emulating the extra RAM cartridge is a pain in the butt which is why its not out as of yet. Though I am sure plenty of people want that one, I don't think that game has aged terribly well...

Majora's Mask was put up, so it's possible to emulate the extra RAM. Unless it's somehow different for each game, I dunno. I can only really guess here.

And yeah I'm not too sure about DK64, last time I played I think it might not have aged well, I might need to try playing it again to make sure.

The thing about Majora's mask though, the emulation was already done because of the collectors disk they released on GameCube. So they just needed to port it to the wii.

It was really buggy and prone to crashing though. Nintendo still had to figure out how to emulate it properly for the VC release.

Weekly Downloads

We got Ketzal's Corridors this week. That looks like a pretty good puzzle game, but my plate is kinda full right now. Nothing for Wii at all this week.
