I thought this game needed its own thread as there is much to discuss. Namely, ideas for games. I want to make tons of games. Collections of games (18 games to a collection). I hope other people get the game soon so we can share games.

Anyway, right now I was thinking of making a series of games but am undecided on what they should be about. I'm torn between Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, TMNT, Darkwing Duck, Star Wars, Garfield, and basically everything I like, though I'd also like to make more original games that don't feature licensed content too. Currently I see myself going farther with a series of Mega Man or Darkwing Duck games as several of these could feature quick boss fights such as choosing the right weapon for Mega Man or choosing where Darkwing should make his grand entrance. Give me ideas!

If anybody who doesn't own the game wants to know anything about it (such as what all you're capable of creating) feel free to ask. The biggest limitations are that these are very short games (either 8 or 16 seconds I believe) with only basic colors to choose from and can only be played by tapping the screen with the stylus (no buttons of advanced touch screen controls like sliding or drawing symbols). Still, there's tons you can do.

I got the game Sunday but hadn't been able to put too much time into it. I just completed the first part of the tutorial today and I'm still a little confused. I had an idea where a guy gets punched in the face, but I just can't get that fist flying.

I tried to make a game right after finishing all three lessons of the game making tutorial, but couldn't figure out how to make objects look differently at random which is common in a lot of WarioWare micro games (an object that appears differently each time you play the game). However, after completing the Assembly Dojo I figured out how to do just that in the 28th technique. So there is definitely a learning curve, but once you finish the entire tutorial and learn all 32 techniques from the Assembly Dojo you should know how to pretty much anything you could want. If not, let me know your problem and maybe I can help ya out. :)

I think I just need to sit down for some serious practice. That'll be my day tomorrow.

Cool, well get your friend code (I posted mine already) and you can download my Yoshi game anyway (the objects of which you're free to use). Maybe we can meet up in the chat tomorrow evening and discuss game making.

I was looking for my friend code everywhere. Never thought to look at the top screen...

I'll add that to the FC thread as well.

Cool beans. I shall start my game making tonight as well and see how it goes. Why not make a collection with games from all the things you listed above? That'd be fun :)

I spent my morning making a game. In the end, I'm not too happy with it. In order to win, you need to tap the Zelda faeries that are flying around. Problem was that the sprites were so small that they were easy to miss, and I'd run out of time trying to hit one faerie. So I switched it to just tapping anywhere on the screen to win. Kind of impossible to lose now, but that's OK. It's a first effort.

Coolness. Sorry I wasn't on last night, I got New Super Mario Bros. Wii finally and ... well, you get the idea.

You got the game now, Gamma? Sweet.

I've decided, while I do want to make a variety of micro games, I'm kind of in a Mega Man mood so I'm going to try to make an entire collection of eighteen Mega Man micro games (might as well call it "Mega Man Micro"). To start with, however, I made a comic which serves as the opening sequence to the game. It's in my warehouse crates along with my "Feed Yoshi" game and a first attempt at making a record of the Star Wars main theme. I didn't have the music to look at, so I just did the first part as best as I could remember it while I was with my little brother at his orthodontist appointment. I've got a lot of ideas of how to make some cool Mega Man micro games. I'm undecided whether I'm going to use the 8-Bit Mega Man 1-6, 9, and 10 sprites or try to make my own, though. If I did use them I'd have to deal with the difficulty of making a cool looking 8-Bit background. I dunno how Capcom (or any other company for that matter) makes such awesome backgrounds. I'll probably keep going back and refining my games, too. I think I could even make it where you could choose your character (Mega Man, Proto Man, Bass, etc.) at the beginning, though that could have you wasting precious time. So maybe different micro games will have different characters playable. Needless to say, 8 of the 18 games will be robot master battles. Now I've just got to think of some cool robot masters. Anyone wanna throw some ideas at me? :)

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
If it's possible, (I'm not entirely sure what you can and can't do with this) shoot the Metool (or Metaur or whatever it's called) when it show its eyes.
