Perhaps you should wait and see whats included in the $200 slim model, from what I know of nothing has been confirmed, for all we know it could lack a hard drive AND wifi which would only really leave you with a PC looking Xbox. . .

Also is WiFi important to you? Or is a wired connection just as convenient?

Yeah what it will/won't come with is what worries me. No wi-fi wouldn't kill it for me, I would just need to buy a cable.

Does the arcade not come with a cord? My Pro model did, but again, it was a pro.

It doesn't come with a cord.

Well, the slim is apparently quieter, and it has that huge vent so it probably runs cooler. Even if it didn't have wi-fi and a HDD, at least it would have that. It's also "Kinect Ready" but I don't care about that. (For now at least)

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I'm gonna ask. . .what does "Kinect Ready" even mean? What will original Xbox owners have to do to be ready for Kinect? An update? An add-on? Or is it just a marketing gimmick like Blast Processing?

I can't remember how it'll be for old 360s, but there's a special port on the back of slims that Kinect will plug into.

If you have a nice TV or plan on getting one eventually you may want to factor in that the new 360 has a HDMI port.

I don't use an HD TV, so HD doesn't matter to me. It stinks that you can't really get that "current gen" look without HD.

You're considering either the current arcade version or the new slim arcade version then? I was looking around and there's a current arcade bundle for $150 that comes with Banjo-Kazooie and Viva Pinata. That may be the best choice if you're interested in those games.

Oh yeah, getting some pretty nice games along with the lower price may push you in that direction. I could save my 20 gb HDD and sell it to you if you want me to (or trade it for some of your games for sale XD)
