You're considering either the current arcade version or the new slim arcade version then? I was looking around and there's a current arcade bundle for $150 that comes with Banjo-Kazooie and Viva Pinata. That may be the best choice if you're interested in those games.
Yeah I know, the issue is:

Get the current old Arcade unit sooner for a cheaper price and two games

or

Wait for the Slim Arcade, pay more for less noise and heat, but potentially not get games and/or a HDD with it.

I'm trying to decide if I want Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. I'm not the biggest fan of the Genesis and I'm not too familiar or interested in a lot of its games with a few exceptions. I'm only really interested in the Phantasy Star and Ecco games, maybe Shinobi too. What games on there do you consider great and worth getting the collection for?

Well it is certainly worth it just for the sheer number of games in the collection. Most of the games are good for some fun, some of them are lackluster, and there's probably many games that you already have (all the sonic games but no lock-on). There are some gems in the collection though such as Ristar (but you probably already have it in Mega Collection), Kid Chameleon, the Shining Force series (RPG that I was totally unfamiliar with before getting this), and the Streets of Rage games (if you like old school beat 'em ups). I like the Shinobi games which I don't remember playing before this, especially Shinobi III (but unfortunately II isn't included). With so many games here you'll certainly find some that you like if you eventually get the collection.

Yeah I have both Sonic Collections, so that's a chunk of games covered already. I don't have interest in Golden Axe or Altered Beast, that's maybe five more games that don't matter to me. I guess I'll still get it at some point. It'll be low priority though.

Save for illegal means, getting it for the Phantasy Star games alone is probably cheaper than any other router considering its only $20 now.

Bioshock or Dead Rising?

I want to get my FPS fix though I would also like to try something new.

Hard to say, they are both about the same length. You really can't go wrong. I am leaning toward bioshock.

I'm currently going through Bioshock on PS3 as we speak. Its a pretty solid FPS and I'm enjoying it. I've also played Dead Rising. I'd have to say go with Bioshock for now.

(Funny how this thread keeps being about my 360 questions...)

I'm looking to add to my 360 collection at some point soon. What single-player games would you recommend? I'm currently interested in The Last Remnant. I still want Dead Rising at some point though I'm not sure how much I want it. BioShock 2 has gone down in price a lot though I'm gonna hold off on that. Kinda interested in trying Dragon Age though I'll wait until I've beaten Mass Effect before I even consider that.

EDIT: Here's what I'm currently considering:

The Last Remnant
Dead Rising
Crackdown

Anything else to consider?

If you are interested in shooter games, the 360 is known for Halo and Gears of War.
I never really felt needed or even wanted here, but I still do come back from time to time. If you want to speak to me for whatever reason, you may add me on Skype. My Skype name is revon.migouru and as long as you tell me who you are in the friend request, I will add you.
