Anything else to consider?
If you are interested in shooter games, the 360 is known for Halo and Gears of War.
I like Halo fine though it's low priority. How is the single-player in the Gears of War games? I don't want to get a game that had more focus put in the multi-player.

I tried out the Dark Sector demo today and I liked it, I might get that, especially since it's pretty cheap now.

Hey Dragon, I know this is kind of old now, but I just read your posts from March and decided to contribute to those recommendations. I played the first Gears of War a good bit and I spent more time in the story than the online multiplayer. I give it a recommendation. I haven't played the 2nd gears and now everyone is getting hyped for the 3rd one, so I can't really say anything about those.
Crackdown was fun for a little while, but I think I did most everything in it in a few days and then I got tired of it pretty quickly, so I wouldn't buy it.

Now, to bring this up to date, I'm thinking about a couple of the other 3DS launch titles since I'll be starting a long commute to work soon. What would you guys recommend? Street Fighter? I've played it on a friend's PS3 a good bit, but not SUPER just the regular. And Lego SW III, I wanted to get it and it sounded great until Bermuda found the glitches... would you still get it even with the glitches, or should I just wait and get it for a console?
Also I think I'll get Sonic Colors for DS, anyone here played it yet? (Project: Shadow told me I can try it on the Nintendo Channel, but I haven't done that yet)

I played the Blue Dragon demo. I'll definitely get that at some point.

It's really hard for me to recommend Lego Star Wars III for 3DS. On one hand, the game is a lot of fun. If you have enjoyed previous Lego games, you would most likely enjoy this one. Another thing holding this one back, aside from the glitches, is that there is no multiplayer. If that's no big deal for you then I guess it doesn't matter, but it's something to take into consideration.

As for glitches, I think the game froze on me at least 10 times in the short amount of time I played it. I did manage to complete the game 100% eventually, but it was annoying. And the load times are really irritating. I haven't counted how long they are, but I think maybe around 15-20 seconds when transitioning between levels. And it is during these load times that the game will freeze up on you. I haven't played any console version, but if you're interested in the game than I would suggest going for one of those. It kind of pains me to say it, because despite the freezing and load times, the game is a lot of fun.

I see. Well, if I run out of handheld games to play on my bus ride I may change my mind and get it, but for now I guess I'll just wait and get this one on a console. Thanks for that input :)

I'll probably skip it as well(not that I was very likely to get it soon but it had cross my mind). I'll wait and see what they do with Lego Pirates on 3DS.

I just found something out about the Lego 3DS games. Apparently, if you turn off the wireless on your 3DS, your game won't freeze. Wish I knew that before I completed the game. So knowing there is sort of a fix for this thing, I guess I do recommend the games for 3DS. Though no multi-player is still a bit of a letdown.

Glad there is a fix to it. Kind of unfortunate that it comes to that, but its better than nothing.

Oh, interesting, thanks for that info. Seeing how wireless isn't used in the games anyways and it can be turned on and off with the flip of a switch that's not a big deal.

Did you get any of those crashes in Lego Pirates?

No I had no problem with Pirates, though I have heard form other people that the game can crash sometimes.

Another thing to note, if I haven't said so already, is that the 3DS version of LSW3 is the same as the DS version, while the 3DS version of Pirates is the same as the console version. At least that's what I've been told. I have tried the demos for both games on the 360 and could tell Star Wars had different level designs while the main difference in Pirates were longer cut-scenes in the 360 version. That was another slightly disappointing thing about 3DS Pirates. The cut-scenes were edited and are shorter than the console counterparts, plus the video quality seems rather poor. Still the game played well and I actually preferred the 3DS controls over the 360 as it seemed to simplify many things. Like in the 3DS version, you switch characters by pressing the shoulder buttons. In the console version you hold down a button to bring up a wheel and select characters from that. I didn't really care for that wheel, but that's just my opinion.
