I just found something out about the Lego 3DS games. Apparently, if you turn off the wireless on your 3DS, your game won't freeze. Wish I knew that before I completed the game. So knowing there is sort of a fix for this thing, I guess I do recommend the games for 3DS. Though no multi-player is still a bit of a letdown.
Oh, interesting, thanks for that info. Seeing how wireless isn't used in the games anyways and it can be turned on and off with the flip of a switch that's not a big deal.

Did you get any of those crashes in Lego Pirates?
No I had no problem with Pirates, though I have heard form other people that the game can crash sometimes.

Another thing to note, if I haven't said so already, is that the 3DS version of LSW3 is the same as the DS version, while the 3DS version of Pirates is the same as the console version. At least that's what I've been told. I have tried the demos for both games on the 360 and could tell Star Wars had different level designs while the main difference in Pirates were longer cut-scenes in the 360 version. That was another slightly disappointing thing about 3DS Pirates. The cut-scenes were edited and are shorter than the console counterparts, plus the video quality seems rather poor. Still the game played well and I actually preferred the 3DS controls over the 360 as it seemed to simplify many things. Like in the 3DS version, you switch characters by pressing the shoulder buttons. In the console version you hold down a button to bring up a wheel and select characters from that. I didn't really care for that wheel, but that's just my opinion.
Oh yeah I forgot to check for 360 demos. Hopefully I'll get a chance to download and play those soon

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
I'm strongly leaning toward selling my 360 for a PS3. Most of my games for it are multiplat, and most of the games I want are multiplat too. I guess I don't need much more convincing, but what do you think? One thing that's stopping me is that the PS3 might suffer from the same issue that 360 games suffer from: tiny, unreadable text on my SD TV. Does the PS3 have that problem too?

Another thing. One game I do want on the 360, is Blue Dragon. If I sell my 360, no Blue Dragon. So how is Blue Dragon Plus?

I assume the issue of small text depends on the game, and I haven't heard of any PS3 games causing controversy with that. Are there any games in particular for 360 that you're experiencing that problem with? If those games are multiplat, I assume the PS3 version would have that same problem.

Every 360 game I tried had that issue when I played them on my TV, except Nuts & Bolts after the large text patch and I think BioShock. I play my 360 on my computer monitor with the 360 VGA cables, and that solved the problem. There ARE VGA cables for the PS3, but they're third party and I saw nothing but bad reviews for them.

Do you play your PS3 on an SD TV or HD?

Well I play my games on an HD TV. I used to play on SD, so I know what you mean by the hard-to-read text. Unfortunately, I don't know for sure about PS3, since I got it after I bought my HD TV. I imagine some text would be hard to read, like SB said, on cross-platform games.

As for the Blue Dragon series, I guess I got a love/hate thing going on with those games. The 360 game was pretty fun. It's a very traditional JRPG. It doesn't really bring anything new to the genre, but I'm ok with that. I played through and enjoyed it. You spend a lot of time pressing the A button to inspect every object in search of useable items and "Nothings," which you can trade for rare items. And that's a huge part of the game, if you're obsessive like I am. I thought the main character, Shu, was very annoying. He's always going on about not giving up and I just don't like him.

As for Blue Dragon Plus, I never beat the game but not because it was bad or anything. There's just one horrible game design that made me want to stop playing and sell the game. I let a giant robot reach the top of the tower, and that was game over. And since it saved right before the giant robots turn, every time I boot up the game I get an automatic game over. So I would have to start from the beginning if I wanted to play again. Other than that, it's an ok strategy game. Not much strategy is involved though as it is on the easy side. I hardly ever equipped my characters with gear and I still came out alright. Just be sure to keep your characters healed with some magic, and you should win.

One thing to note is that Blue Dragon Plus is a direct sequel to the first game and the story continues a year after the first game. You'll get brief descriptions about characters met in the first game and some retelling of the first game, but not much. If you play BD+ first, you may feel a little lost with the story. I consider the 360 game to be the best of the three, so if you really want to get into the series, you should probably start with that one.

Oh, the name made it sound like it was a DS remake of Blue Dragon. Why did they call it Blue Dragon Plus then? Oh well, thanks for the input.

If you're in the mood for some puzzles there's always Dr. Mario(though no multiplayer, or at least online) and Tetris. Both priced at $5. Dark Void Zero is only $5 as well and thats a really fun take on the retro platformer(I own though have yet to open up Dark Void on PS3 so whether you played the main game or not shouldn't have a difference).

Naturally there's Shantae, but I highly doubt I need to tell you that. . .

If you're a fan of the Game and Watch titles they have a few on there for $2, I personally enjoyed Donkey Kong Jr. Speaking of the Donkey Kong, if you're a fan of the Mario vs Donkey Kong games, I HIGHLY recommend the DSiware version, it offers a lot of content for an $8 game.

Anyone else hoping the original Shantae gets a shot on the 3DS store?

The original Shantae is the one game I am hoping for most. I missed out on it when it was released on GBC, so I really hope it gets released eventually on 3DS.
