Apparently some time ago (though I just stumbled upon it now) another DS Fire Emblem remake was announced, this time it's the sequel to the original game that released only on the Super Famicom in Japan. That would mean Marth is the star of this one too, but that's not entirely true. A new feature to the game and the Fire Emblem series is the ability to create your own character which includes the appearance of their avatar and unit class. It promises all the features from Shadow Dragon like online multiplayer battles, online shop, and renting units from friends and has a new casual play mode where defeated heroes return in the next chapter (not that I would want to use it since I enjoy the aspect of trying to keep everyone alive in Fire Emblem games) and promises to have downloadable content like additional trial maps (one-shot missions not connected to the main game) it seems. I enjoyed Shadow Dragon and it's the only Fire Emblem game besides Path of Radiance (which I still consider to be the best) that I've beat, so I'd definitely like to play the sequel. More details |

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

I've known about this but I didn't think to post it. Not too excited about it because I still haven't played Shadow Dragon! And I still need to finish Path of Radiance. |

If you don't play any other Fire Emblem game, play Path of Radiance. I still think it's the finest game in the franchise. |

Don't worry, I want to play it! (problem is I've wanted to play it for a long time, but I guess I'll get to it eventually) |

I like that we are getting these remakes, but you have to wonder when the next new one will be. I'm sure they have some ideas after several years! 3DS Fire Emblem? :D As for the game at hand I may get it I haven't gotten through Mission 2 on Shadow Dragon even....:$ I'll finish that first if anything. |
