I still need to S rank each stage, but I got a feeling finding those red rings will be a pain. I was able to find them no problem in Sonic Colors, but this time I don't know. There's a lot to do in this game and I'm doubtful I'll complete all of it. |

Oh, I see that Einar got it for PS3. Previously I was checking for how you guys were doing on achievements on XBL. I still want to keep playing Sonic Generations for S ranks (I think I have 8 or 9), the challenges, achievements, and the nice gallery items. But I HATE Red Star Rings; I was very disappointed when I found out that they were in this game. I just don't think a collectible item like these rings belong in a Sonic game, especially these new Sonic games that are so focused on speed (ie all the ones containing these dern rings). I'm surprised and impressed that you actually managed to get them all in Sonic Colors, Bermuda, and you say it was 'no problem'! I feel like it'd take ages of playing the stages over and over again... and FYI the Red Star Rings are unfortunately in Sonic Colors DS as well, which is an excellent game besides that. |

Yeah I have all S ranks for the acts, but not the challenges. I'm not too concerned with getting them for the challenges, but I do want to try. |

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

I've been spending a lot of time playing Fallout New Vegas and Just Cause 2. I don't know what it is but these open world games can really suck me in. |

I love Dragon Quest IX so far! I just dealt with the Wight Knight stuff. I noticed my Hero started off as a Minstrel. Do the heroes always start off as that? DQIX is also very forgiving compared to older games, though I guess this was aimed at people new to the series. I've also noticed that having a full party following you around and monsters being out on the field (since battles aren't random anymore) causes slowdown. |

Yeah, you'll always start off as Minstrel, but you'll be able to change jobs later on. |

Alright, I had the feeling. Do you (or anyone else) have recommendations on how to spend my skill points? My party also has a Martial Artist (I'm already going to spend them on Fisticuffs) a Mage (I've been putting them into Wands and...whatever the Mage skill is) and a Priest (so far I've just put them into Faith.) You don't get as many as you did in DQVIII, and you don't get them with every level up either. 0_o |

I would say to focus leveling up only one weapon per character at first. When you max out a weapon skill (level 100), you'll be able to use that weapon with any class. Also, each class only gets 200 skill points. So spending 100 of those points on a weapon skill in a single class probably wouldn't be very efficient. If you want to master all weapon skills for a single character, you'll need to look at a guide and see what would be the best way to divide your points among classes. I would always spend 100 points in a class's special skill, like Litheness for Minstrel. You'll probably want to focus on that early on, while adding a few points in weapons and other things along the way. The way you earn points, you'll start of by getting 3 or so every couple levels, then it'll increase to 4 and 5 and 6. Eventually at level 40 you'll start to be rewarded less and less skill points. At level 50, you'll only be earning 2 points at a time. At level 50, you should have earned 132 skill points. At this point I would have the class's special skill at 100, and those extra 32 spent on a single weapon and maybe even some on shields. I hope I made sense on that post. Been a while since I last played IX but that's how I did things if I recall correctly. I did look up a guide for those numbers. |
