Just tried out the Revelations demo and absolutely loved it! It definitely has the best 3D effect I've seen yet on the 3DS (out of the titles I've played at least). Although that's with the 3D effect turned on "Very Strong" and the slider up to the max. The game itself was superb! Its taking the DLC chapter from RE5 a step further. It definitely controls like RE5 but the atmosphere and combat is very reminiscent of the classic RE games, with an entirely new twist of its own(well kind of, it was introduced in Mercs 3D) with first person aiming, though I believe that can be changed if needed. I'm so excited for this title! |

Yeah, you can change the aiming to third-person in the demo. You can also use gyro-scope aiming, aiming speed, and a bunch of other options. I prefer third-person aiming with a blue laser target. I really like the demo as well. The new supply scan thing is really cool. I like that. |

Did you try gyroscope aiming? I'd like to give that a shot. I absolutely loved using the gyroscope in Zelda(I was a skeptic at first baout it), however using it in a title like RE doesn't seem as appealing since its more precise and demanding. |

I did try the gyroscope, but I prefer the regular controls. I liked in Zelda how it was a combination of circle pad and gyroscope, but in RE you can only have one or the other. |

I tried out the controls a little bit ago, and actually quite like them! I'm not sure how it'll go down for boss battles, but for regular encounters I liked it. |

So I tried out the FFXIII-2 demo. Are these going to be spoilers? I don't know. I'll spoil tag it. All this only pertains to what was in the demo anyway. Spoiler: click to toggle

I totally getting back into Pokemon Black. Still got a lot to do as far as my team goes. I'm kinda sad that all the pokemon I WANT to use, all have over lapping type weaknesses... |

Aw, that is a bit unfortunate. I want to get back to Pokemon Black really soon too (I still have to beat the main story, I wasn't even halfway through). |

While still playing Pokemon Black on handheld I fired Rayman Origins back up on PS3. Really getting into it. Always liked Rayman, but this is by far his best work. The game looks beautiful, and the controls are tight. I have to say this game puts Mario Bros Wii to shame. |

Downloaded the Mortal Kombat trial on the Playstation 3. I love Mortal Kombat, one of my favorite fighting series, but as I've said before, I simply stink at fighting games. They're so fun to watch and easy to get hyped for but once I start playing them, oh man do I get frustrated! However, thus far I've absolutely had a blast with this game. I really dig the story mode. I really like it when fighting games have stories beyond what it says on character sheets or epilogues after you beat a mode. I don't think I'm going to go out and buy the game, I don't think there's enough content in it for me(a non-fighting enthusiast) to justify the price its at now, but I'm definitely going to look into it when I find it for a low price. Also, Johnny Cage looks like a younger, slightly thinner Ron Pearlman. This was the first trial I downloaded and was actually disappointed when my hour was up. I want to see what happens next! That's a good sign. Edited by Hyper Metal Sonic, Jan 25 2012, 04:57 PM.
