After playing Mutant Mudds, I decided to give a few more 3DS download games a go. I got Freakyforms and VVVVVV. Freakyforms is pretty good and you can create some really cool creatures. I've seen people create some really good looking Meta Knight and Sonic characters, and you can download them via QR codes to share with everyone like Miis. So that's an alright game if you like creating things.

VVVVVV is another really awesome game. I think I got about 600 deaths. I died several hundred times trying to get this one trinket.

I'll most likely download Pushmo at some point. It'll probably be my next purchase.

I highly recommend Pushmo, its fantastic!

It starts out kind of easy and sluggish because the game holds your hand to teach you all the mechanics, but its quite worth it!

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
So, Persona 4...

Still getting used to some of the changes from P3, but so far I like it. It definitely feels more polished than Persona 3 (which already felt pretty polished.) Better graphics, faster load times (I think, anyway. The pause menu is faster, that's for sure) actually being able to see what the moves do outside of battle, etc.

It seems like they removed Bash, Slash, and Pierce and just have "Physical" now. Not sure how I feel about that yet, almost makes it seem like having different physical moves pointless. I also noticed the main character doesn't always move first in battle anymore, his agility actually affects his battle speed this time.

Speaking of, I think Teddie talks too much in battle, and ends up talking over other people a lot.

My progress...

Spoiler: click to toggle

EDIT: Forgot to say, I don't really like the new blur effect when you walk. It kind of obscures things.

So I downloaded the MGS3 demo on the eShop, and my lord, it's pretty terrible using just the regular controls.

I take back a few things I said before trying the demo.

Now I only recommend it to people without PS2/3's, Xbox 360's and to those who also own the Circle Pad Pro. You really need the extra analog stick for this game.

The camera is controlled via the ABXY buttons and you crouch using the directional pad. It's not very intuitive at all.

If it adopted Snake Eater's and not Subsistence's/MGS4's camera it actually would have worked better on the 3DS, but as it stands, ouch. Not very good without the CPP accessory(I haven't gotten it yet, but I'll replay the demo when I do get it and I'm sure I'll enjoy it a lot more).

Anyone else try out the demo? Anyone's opinion differ from my own?

I tried the demo and agree completely. I figured I'd get the CPP, but I can't find it anywhere. It's GS exclusive, but the closest GS to me that has it in stock is in Chicago. I don't feel like going to the city to pick up the thing. I actually cancelled my pre-order or MGS3D because I really didn't like the camera controls. If I find a CPP, then I'll probably pick up the game at a later time. I don't think I'd want to play the game without a second analog.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way!

If you don't mind ordering online, the Nintendo store sells them as well:

http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=189708&currency=USD&catalogId=10001&tranId=0&lastAction=setCurr&storeId=10001&languageId=-1&categoryId=&ddkey=http:SetCurrencyPreference

I'm considering picking up a CPP this weekend, though you're not the only one to say that they're sold out at Gamestops, so I may not find one and I'm not sure if I feel like ordering one off the net (I would if I could from Amazon though).

I was kind of trying to avoid ordering from Nintendo, because I think it'll be about an extra $10 with tax and shipping. I have some store credit at Gamestop, so I was hoping to spend it on the CPP. If I can't find it at GS, I may end up ordering from Nintendo.

I haven't started Solatorobo yet but I want to say, holy crap it comes in a nice box. And the CD even has its own jewel case with nice artwork. Not even P4 had that! I feel like I should've payed more for this...but let's see how the actual game is!

If so, let's shoot around some times!

Well nuts. I'm going home and not taking my PS3 with me because taking large things on an airplane is hard. <_< I can be available for this in...two weeks I guess since I'll be gone next weekend too.
