Fudge! I was going to ask this last weekend, but I brought my TV, my cables, my remote (for my TV), and my PS3 controller home for my long weekend but OOPS forgot my PS3 XD. Well two weeks would be fine! Remind me/us when you return. |

I've been playing Castlevania Lords of Shadow recently during weekends on PS3. I was really excited to play this title, it looked pretty fun, I love Castlevania and I also love Kojima Productions. So far, I'm rather disappointed with the game. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'm just not clicking with the game. I'm almost on Chapter 3 (or what ever the larger sections of the games are split into) and it's just been pretty slow. I'm willing to give it a bigger chance, but for now I think I'm going to move on to something else and take a break. |

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

I played the demo when I had a 360 and it really bored me. I'm not a fan of God of War style games though. They just don't click with me for some reason. I would've preferred another Metroidvania. |

So I've been playing quite a bit of 3DS lately. My most recent game is Sonic Generations. I really like this game. It's just a lot of fun and I think I like it better than the console version. Maybe because I really like Sonic Rush and this game's kinda like that sorta. I wish there were more levels though. I think there are seven levels with two acts each, and then a third bonus stage. It's a decent amount, but I do like more. The stage selection is also really great. Again I like these stages better than the console version. They picked some of my personal favorites from past Sonic games. It also has a fun online mode which I played with Shadow earlier. You can trade info cards which you create and they list things like how many years you've been a Sonic fan, favorite game and character, and in-game stats. I love stuff like that. Oh, and the 3D is really amazing in this game Another game I have been spending a lot of time with is Tales of the Abyss. This is the third Tales game I have played after Symphonia and Vesperia. This is another great game. I don't know if there are any other RPGs on the 3DS, but there is a lack of them. This is an excellent start, despite being a port of a PS2 game. The 3D isn't so great in this game. I also got a circle pad pro, so I decided to pick up Metal Gear Solid 3D. I've played past games in the MGS series, but I'm no veteran. I'm really no good at this game. It's taking me a while to learn the controls, and I'm still not completely used to them. One thing I forgot to consider were the long cut-scenes MGS has. I guess that's ok for a console, but it's kind of weird on a handheld. I swear I've been through 4 hours of cut-scenes and 5 minutes of gameplay. The CPP works well though, and I much prefer it over the standard controls. It does block the stylus slot and wi-fi switch, which can be inconvenient. MGS doesn't need the stylus exactly, so it's no big deal. The 3D is also great in this game. Some of the best I have seen so far on the 3DS. Speaking of the CPP, I tried it out with Resident Evil Revelations and didn't care for it. Maybe it's because I have been playing with standard controls for so long, but I just don't like it. It does add the ability to move and aim at the same time, so that may be helpful. I'll try it out for KI:U later this month. |

Last week I purchased Beyond Good and Evil HD on PS3 (for a whomping $4!). Despite the game practically being given away on PS2/GCN/Xbox back in the day (I believe you could get the game for free with some cheese at one time) I never got around to playing it until now. It was always a game I was interested in trying out because of the praise it received. I have to say, the praise was well deserved! I really like it. The game is linear, and yet there's such freedom. I'm having loads of fun taking pictures of animals and finding pearls, nice distractions from the main story. So far I've been loving the game, but right now I'm in the slaughterhouse and I'm not a big fan of the heavy emphasis on using the hovercraft in this level. I had no problem using it before, in fact, I enjoyed it quite a bit using it for exploration, but the way its being used in this level is a buzz kill. I can actually see myself 100%ing this game, I'm about 6 hours in, which appears to be halfway or more. |

Hey this is a shout out to Einar and Shadowbanana: I was talking with Bermuda, and we never (or at least I didn't!) got together and played some Simpsons Arcade together! Would you guys still be interested in getting together on the PSN sometime soon and playing? |
