Anyone here ever play Ghostbusters Sanctum of Slime?

I recently purchased it off of the PLaystation Network for a measly $1.25 due to a Halloween Sale currently going on.

I really feel the Ghostbusters theme fits really well for a twin stick shooter, especially for a multiplayer affair.

I'm completely mind boggled at how they screwed up such an easy concept. I had a bad feeling from the very beginning when I was treated to a ten minute opening cut scene with very little animation and the most word bubbles I've seen since reading the entire graphic novel of Watchmen. I'm probably exaggerating on the run time of the opening but that's honestly how long it felt like, literally nothing happened and when I'm playing a twin stick shooter, Ghostbusters or not, I don't really care for the story because chances are the story won't be presented in an interesting away and it definitely wasn't here.

From there, the game started out fine, gameplay was very simple, I just went through the level blowing furniture up and busting some ghosts. But then I came upon the second level where they introduce different kinds of weapons.

There's the typical stream from your proton pack, then there's a yellow wave that acts as your typical twin stick burst shot, and then finally blue bullet like shots that bounce off walls (there may be more but I gave up before finding out). The yellow and blue attacks are really slow and boring and I would much rather just use the red stream attacks, but unfortunately there's three colors of ghosts, Red, Blue, and Yellow, and obviously, their color is their weakness so you're forced to constantly switch which got to be very annoying.

The AI is DUMB, so dumb that I wouldn't be shocked to find out that there isn't actually any AI for your partners. If you die you can be revived by one of your teammates without penalty, but if you all die it's game over. Usually you'll be able to be revived with no issue, but in the third level I reached an enemy (not even a boss) that just totally decimates you in one shot and can take out the entire team at once depending on position where it honestly just became impossible for me to pass.

At that moment, I did something I don't think I've ever done before with a game I purchased. I exited the game, went to my PS3 menu and deleted it off my console. The game's only about 120 MBs, I don't need the space that bad.

Honestly though, the game seems like it's not THAT bad if you play with a friend, especially if you coordinate who attacks which types of ghosts during a wave, but solo it's just down right boring and borderline unplayable and unfortunately I don't know anyone else that was duped into buying it, and online with strangers seems all but barren (I was able to play with one person earlier but they stopped halfway through).

But I think one of the reasons I'm able to just walk away so easily from the game is because I only paid $1.25 for it, and I came into it with very low expectations.

I also picked up AMY for $2.50 which is appropriate because it got consistent 2.5's out of 10s! I'm actually enjoying AMY much more than Ghostbusters, but I can totally see why it got terrible reviews.

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
Wow. I never had much interest in it anyway. And yeah, good thing it was just $1.25.

Anyone have The Last Story for Wii? So, despite having the game since August, I'm just finally getting into it! (I should have waited since the price dropped $20 >_>) But I would love to have some people to play the multiplayer mode with!

Yeah I have the Last Story and loved it. I wouldn't mind playing some multiplayer sometime. It would help me get some of those cool items and help me upgrade my equipment to insane levels.

Got Dead Space 3 on Tuesday, been I've enjoyed it thus far. Not as scary as the first 2 but still very good. (The original game is still IMO very scary!)

I'm a little over halfway done. Then I'm gonna sell it while it can get most of my money back. why you ask? Cause EA will release a trilogy just like they did with Mass Effect. :p
