I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
L4D1 DLC finally revealed. It'll also add No Mercy to L4D2. There will likely be a sale for one or both games when the DLC is released. More of you guys need L4D2!

Also, apparently the Mac version of both games will be released around the time the DLC is released.

Glad more DLC is finally coming out for the first game. As time has gone on, I really realize I don't care if i ever own L4D2, so I probably won't get it until there's a mighty ridiculous sale on Steam where its $10 or less. Pretty cool that there will be DLC compatible with both versions though.

L4D2 is basically an upgrade from the first game. Ignoring things like tone, setting and characters, it really is the better game. While I still like L4D1, I'll almost always play L4D2 over it. Yeah I know, it kinda screwed over people who bought L4D1 at launch, but that's why you wait for the sales. Then it's like buying DLC or something.

A $10 COULD happen. I got L4D1 for around $8 during the holidays.

I am surprised the mac versions are taking so long. You'd think it'd be one of the first games they pumped out. Wonder if they were just waiting for this, or if they ran into some problems.

I really can't see what the problem is, I mean all the valve games are on the source engine. The source engine is already "ported" to mac.

L4D runs on its own version of Source. They might have also wanted to wait until they improved game performance on Mac. (Which they recently did)

I imagine its the performance the recent update did make a HUGE difference in gameplay. Team Fortress plays silky smooth now.

They also updated Steam itself and it runs a lot better for me now. At some point during the new UI beta, Steam started running like crap for me. I'm glad they finally fixed it.
