HOLY CRAP

GTA is one of my favorite series so I'm looking forward to this. I just pray it has a better PC port than IV...

EDIT: I'm hearing rumors that you'll play as a cop in this one?

So GTA in general...I'm not entirely sure why I love playing these games. I'm usually content to just drive around looking at things and listening to the radio. I actually rarely go around causing mayhem, though sometimes it happens from the silly NPCs. Nothing like causing a pile up leading to a chain reaction of explosions.

I see GTA IV get a lot of flak but I've really been enjoying it, maybe more than SA. It's definitely easier to get around. I agree that I don't like Niko (and CJ for that matter) trying to be "good" in cutscenes and stuff but still take jobs to kill random people. It made sense with Tommy since he certainly wasn't a good guy, and the GTA III guy was just a blank slate.

Vice City is my favorite, it has the best aesthetic and the best story in my opinion. My second favorite would then have to be GTA IV(The Ballad of Gay Tony DLC being on par) followed by III and out of the 3D ones, SA is actually my least favorite. I really dislike the RPG elements of it and glad they took it out of IV. Its also pretty much the only 3D one I haven't beat, just never got interested in beating it(though I did get far).

Can't wait to hear more on V. Heard rumors they might be returning the London which would be great since we hadn't seen that since pre-3 GTA.

YES. Having to grind to get my swimming level up to play one mission in SA was my least favorite part of the game next to learning how to fly for James Woods. The only thing I liked about the RPG elements was being able to increase your health meter.

And oh man, the things people do with the GTA IV engine

Oh yeah, and I'm not sure what my favorite is. Maybe Vice City. I also plan on getting the Saints Row games on 360 at some point, since it seems unanimously agreed that they're the best GTA clones. Also, who's played the Stories games? How are they? I've been considering getting Liberty City and Vice City Stories on the PS2 lately.

I had Liberty City Stories on PS2, it wasn't that bad. I mean, it just seems like more or less a GTA III expansion pack except the graphics just may not be as good, but still feels like the PS2 games.

Yeah, I had the feeling they were basically expansion packs. They're both pretty cheap though, so I might at least get VCS at some point.

I loved GTA III and Vice City a lot. I wasn't really feeling San Andreas or IV very much, probably because I started getting into Saints Row. If you like Grand Theft Auto as well as ridiculous customization and mayhem, I'd suggest checking out Saints Row. If not, GTA itself has always pleased people and it wouldn't be bad to stick with.
I never really felt needed or even wanted here, but I still do come back from time to time. If you want to speak to me for whatever reason, you may add me on Skype. My Skype name is revon.migouru and as long as you tell me who you are in the friend request, I will add you.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the character customization. I think Saints Row might be the next 360 game I get. I also just remembered Chinatown Wars. I've seen nothing but praise for it so I'd like to get it eventually. I still see it in the cheap game section at Wal-Mart, though I still have a huge backlog to get through.

I made it to the final stretch of SA. This riot is the best part of the game, and I found the code so you can turn it on whenever you want. It's awesome, I don't even have to cause any chaos, it causes itself. Having to capture territory in this mess has been a pain though.

That sounds really cool, I have SA on Steam and I bet eventually I'll take another shot at it. I also want to get back to replaying Vice City and III(all of which I have on Steam).

...Aaaaaand SA is done. Finally. The last mission was pretty cool, though one part kind of confused me and I ended up failing the mission (mostly because I forgot the proper way to put out fires.) Now to get back to IV, and hopefully I'll beat Vice City after that.
