Apparently it's confirmed a new system will be out in 2012 and will be shown and playable at E3 this year. So I guess it's a good time to make a thread for it. What do you hope to see out of Nintendo's next system? I definitely want to be able to transfer my downloaded games, and for its shop to have all the games currently on the Wii Shop Channel. I would also like Wii/GCN backwards compatibility if it doesn't raise the price much. And of course, the franchises Nintendo neglected this generation (particularly F-Zero, was going to mention Star Fox but it DID get the DS game at least) to show up on the system. How do you think it will be tech-wise? I'm guessing it'll be just a bit more powerful than the 360 is. Considering how old that tech is now, it must be pretty cheap, so Nintendo could probably sell it for a reasonable price (oh I hope) and still make a profit (they never sell systems for a loss.) |

I've been hearing a 2011 release in all the rumors, and I'm kind of glad that isn't the case. My guess is it'll be November 2012. |

Same guess here. I hope we'll get at least a few decent Wii games out before then but I won't get my hopes up. Skyward Sword will probably be the Wii's last big title like I've said before. |

Every now and then I hear about Dragon Quest X still being released for Wii. Last i heard, we won't even hear anything big about it until late 2011. So long as that's going to be released on Wii still, it'll probably be the last big game for me. I'm hoping Zelda will get a 2011 release date. |

Wow, I forgot Dragon Quest X was even announced. That was a long time ago I think. Well there's that and Skyward Sword at least. Hey, maybe Nintendo will surprise us and finally unveil Pikmin 3 for the Wii at E3! :w00t: :'( |

More rumors I hope it not having a HDD isn't true. As long as they don't overprice them like MS does, I hope the next system uses hard drives. |
