Yeah, I'm glad we got some new characters to try out at least. I may sound a little spoiled but I would have liked another stage or two. We just got the one Battlefield. I know it's just a demo.

Yeah, one more stage would've been nice but oh well. Hmm, nice that they brought back some Melee stages. I really liked its stage selection so I definitely wouldn't mind more.

So far, I think the control feels fine. I mean yeah, I'm really used to the GCN controller but I can get used to this. And I haven't really played Brawl in a while but this feels a lot less floaty than Brawl (which is good.) Also, for the first time since the first game, it feels nice to hit things.

Well I got an email too! I guess they meant Platinum members from the last CN year, so that's good!

I barely missed platinum status this year but Gamma got it and let my brother and me use two of his codes. As Dragon said, it does feel less floaty and more satisfying to hit things. I think it's a good balance between Melee and Brawl. I like that lightning crack effect when a powerful hit that has the potential to KO occurs. I noticed Mario's FLUDD seems to charge faster and I believe Link's dash attack was changed to be more like his jump attack from Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, etc. Like Sakurai posted before, Pikachu's Thunder no long stuns but instead has more knockback it seems.

They did a really good job IMO keeping Mega Man true to his games. He does that small sidestep when you barely push left or right, his jump height and duration seems right, and he has his slide and can run and shoot. Interestingly enough we've probably played as the Villagers the most. They're just so gimmicky and fun to play with and they have some really strong attacks.

So wow, if that's the starting lineup for the game we start with one less character than Brawl's full roster. Lol As for the leaks, I was trying to avoid them but I did stumble upon them somewhere (I don't even remember where now) so I know now too.

I guess at this rate most of our discussion in this thread is going to be in spoiler tags. Lol

Welp, the game has already sold over one million copies in Japan. http://www.vooks.net/super-smash-bros-for-nintendo-3ds-passes-1-million-copies-sold/

This surprises me very little! Glad its doing well, and I hope it can provide solid numbers on Wii U as well (although I'm sure the numbers will be much better in the rest of the world due to Japan's love of handhelds).

Also, Sakurai has openly spoke about this so I don't really consider it a spoiler at this point, but for consistency I'll do so anyway, it pertains to beloved missing characters.
