I'm sure after massive delays we'll be enjoying the game by 2020.

I kinda hate that Nintendo feels the need to announce a new smash bros. at the launch of every console.

I mean we KNOW its coming, so I guess there's no point, but to actively bring it to our attention when there's not even any details is kind of a buzz kill.

We don't know how far the game is in production though. We all know what they say, but talk is cheap. They might the farther along then we realize. I wouldn't be surprised if they had some kinda teaser for E3.

Not to mention if they were to recycle the engine from brawl or Melee the game could come quicker then we think.

It's already been said that Saukrai wouldn't work on SSB4 until KI was done. It's done now so work on SSB4 will begin. What would be the point of lying?

I hope it'll be a while before it comes out. I don't want the game to be rushed and that'll mean more content from the 3DS/Wii U era will be in the game.

KI went gold a little over a month ago, I am sure the team got some time off. But at the VERY LEAST that frees up SOME of Sakurai's team to start on Smash 4.

Plus Brawl was made with several teams, not just one. A lot of games are these days. Most likely the game has been in pre-production for a couple months now.

Continuing from what Einar said in the Nintendo Direct thread, if this was basically Nintendo vs Namco, I'd like to see the characters he mentioned plus: King (Tekken), a Soul Calibur character or two, and a Tales character or two.

Speaking realistically, I think one Namco character wouldn't be out of the question.

Yeah, I'm thinking we'll probably see one character from Namco. I think Pac-Man makes the most sense. I can see him working very well in this game. His final smash could be eating a power pellet and turning everyone into blue ghosts. As for how he would play normally, maybe kind of like the Pac-Man World games. He could have his bounce attack, I guess? His level could be the classic Pac-Man stage with ghosts roaming about.

Although, with a Nintendo vs Namco game, I would like to see some Tales of characters. Also some Dig-Dug, Mappy, and Karnov could get some representation.

There's supposed to be information this month about SSB4 according to Tumblr, but I don't know how reliable Tumblr is...still, it could happen.
