I only beat the first dungeon I find the game to be very infuriating at times. Died twice at the same skulltula thanks to bad controls. Overall I just don't care for it, if I still feel this way by the third Dungeon it's going on eBay for a $1.

I'll take that off your hands if it comes to that...

I've been spending so much time playing the game, I haven't even checked out the music CD yet. I'll try to get around to it tomorrow, as I'd really like to give it a listen. Now to talk more about the game.

So I really like the game. I think I rank my favorite 3D Zelda titles as Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, then Twilight Princess. Skyward Sword comes third, but it's a high third if that makes sense. I'm not done with SS yet so the ranking may change over the next few days. I think I prefer the Zelda games that don't take place in Hyrule. Maybe I just like the change of scenery that comes with games like WW and SS.

The controls did take some getting used to indeed, I had played motion plus games before (Wii Sports Resort, Red Steel 2), but this definitely has the best controls on the Wii, and its sometimes a shock that there's more to it then just point and waggle (though sometimes "waggle" is just as effective when you need speed, not accuracy).

As far as the game goes, I just beat the third dungeon:

I got the game as a way early Christmas present and got to start it Friday while crazy folks were out shopping. The game did start out slow and there are certainly some things that will take some adapting to. I get thrown off by the nunchuck roll every now and then too, Bermuda, kinda funny when that happens to me (trying to roll and Link pulls out his sword instead). After 4 and a half hours I was surprised to not even reach the first dungeon; I left off hunting for the crazy Kiwi things in Faron Woods and didn't get to play anymore through the weekend, so I'm looking forward to reaching and playing the first dungeon when I get home.

Today I beat Skyward Sword. I forgot to check my time, but this took quite a long time to beat. I've been playing almost non-stop all weekend. This is definitely one of my favorite Zelda titles. I think I got really good at sword fighting near the end there. After playing the game for so long, all the controls seem to work extremely well.

A bit of warning for those who want to complete the game 100%...

Cool, that's good to hear. Last night I got through Skyview Temple and I'm getting more used to the controls and liking them more as well. Previously I thought the aiming with motion control was annoying, but the slingshot is working surprisingly well for me. I already bought all of the extra wallets from Beedle (well I assume it's all you can buy from him) which is really nice 'cause now I won't be letting a lot of rupees go to waste :).

I've bought two wallet upgrades from him and I got the medium wallet upgrade elsewhere so I can currently hold 1,100 rupees (though I still got it full for a little while once). Rupees are a LOT more useful in this game and I love that. It seems perfectly balanced this time between the amount of rupees you receive and what you can do with them IMO (and the prices of items seem fair). I wish all games with currency balanced it this well and hopefully future Zelda games will. I'm short on rupees now from the stuff I've been buying but I eventually want to work on upgrading my wallet more, though I'd like to get the last adventure pouch upgrade first. I'm getting close to the fifth dungeon, though I'll probably head back to upgrade more of my items before continuing. I really like the upgrade system for equipment and potions too. Oh, and thanks for the tip Bermuda.

Thanks for the tip indeed Bermuda, I was afraid to click the spoiler box, but thankfully it wasn't anything bad.

I'm also very happy with the rupee system in this game as well. Before, even if I need rupees for something, I never felt the need to collect them. Now I do.

Nintendo commissioned the Penny Arcade guys to make a Skyward Sword comic. The art is really great!
