Sonic Colors 2? I hope not :p I wonder if Sega is working on a new Sonic game as a Wii U launch title?

Did you not like Sonic Colors or do you just want something new?

I have yet to play either Colors yet, but I heard they were pretty good.

Both. Sonic Colors wasn't bad, but it isn't a game that I want more of either. In my own personal opinion, the DS version of the game was better, but when I just played the Sonic Colors levels in Sonic Generations 3DS I really didn't like them, so go figure. But the rest of Sonic Generations 3DS is great! I'll post more about that somewhere more appropriate.
Anyways, Sonic Colors for both Wii and DS were pretty good, but I'm not a huge fan. I would much rather see something new following in some of Sonic Generations' footsteps gameplay wise.

I slightly agree with you(I say slightly only because like I said I've yet to actually play Colors). Colors still seems to be more about speed and less about platforming.

Sonic's gameplay wasn't soley about speed and that's something that newer sonic titles forget. I long for the days where we have a game like Sonic Adventure 1, 2, or Heroes. Generations is a step in the right direction as is Sonic 4 as far as classic Sonic goes, I just miss the Dreamcast games as well.

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
It's quite the opposite HMS. In Colors there's a lot of platforming, I'd even say you spend more time in the 2.5D platforming parts than the third person speedy parts. I think you're missing out if you haven't played Colors on the Wii yet.

Really? That's good to hear. I haven't played it yet obviously, but I've been meaning to. I haven't been ignoring it or nothing, I've just haven't gotten it yet, nor taken the time to try it out. I think all I tried out was the DS demo.

Initially when it was first announced I was most excited for the DS version, then as it got closer and we saw more and more coverage I got more excited for the Wii version. Then it came out, and I played neither. (Again for no real reason in particular other than I've been busy with other stuff and I was waiting for a price drop which has hit for quite some time now, so I'm out of excuses :P)

Yes Dragon is right, sorry if something I said was misleading about it. Sonic Colors does have more sideview '2d' platforming than 3rd person behind '3d' sections. By "Sonic Generations gameplay wise" I meant more solid gameplay mechanics like having a nice feeling of control (closer to the Adventure games and heroes in the 3d sections and the classic Sonic games in the 2d sections) and the very smooth transitions between 2d and 3d.

Well to be quite honest, viewing videos in the past initially made me think that way.

I'm glad its all been cleared up for me though. I've been disillusioned for so long!
