Here is the ending in a nutshell

Spoiler: click to toggle

So there you have it, there was another ending. One that was leaked in November. (Supposedly) Which went like this.

The Reapers are galactic protectors, they protect organic lifeforms from destruction they couldn't handle on their own. Millions of years ago the Reapers discovered that the galaxy was flooding with dark energy, causing planets to wither and die at an accelerated rate which would destroy all life in the galaxy. This is actually a sub-plot in ME2 during Tali's loyalty mission.

Anyway, at the time the games take place. The Reapers realize they have run out of time, and need to solve the problem now. So they began harvesting humans via the Collectors to make a human reaper. They learned that humans have the greatest genetic diversity of any race to date making them the ideal candidate to harvest. This would put all their minds into one body which the Reapers believed would be enough to figure out how to solve the problem.

So the player is left with this choice at the end. Sacrifice humanity to save all life in the galaxy, or destroy the reapers and hope that they can solve the problem before its too late.

I finally beat Skyward Sword last night! And completed it for that matter :) . Overall the game was good and there was lots of fun to be had. The gameplay was great, the controls were good once I got the hang of it, the level design was very cool, and the music was very good, but I didn't care for the story much at all. I know you can't expect too much, and the whole Skyloft deal was pretty cool, but I just didn't feel drawn in and compelled to keep going (most of the time, at some points I was). Maybe it was just my problem but most of the time I was more compelled to play just so I could beat the game. But at the same time I did have fun doing it. Maybe I'll give Hero Mode a try sometime once I clean out some more unbeaten games.

Today I finally got around to beating Xenoblade Chronicles!

Boy was it a long game! Took me about 75ish hours to complete.

This is easily my favorite RPG in quite a long time, the game was absolutely phenomenal. They were absolutely right when they said the ending is never in sight. There were quite a few times where I thought I was at the end or close to the end, but it wasn't and the game took a radical turn.

The story is one of the best I've seen in quite some time, I'd have to say each character is useful in their own right (the only character storywise that could have been exempted was Riki the Heropon) and each villain is very deep.

So yeah, in case you didn't get it by my post, I highly recommend this game to any RPG fan that hasn't played this yet. Did anyone else here beat it yet?

You can't get rid of Riki the Heropon. He's vital to the team.

I still haven't beaten the game yet. I took a little break and need to get back into it. I left off at kind of a crucial turning point so I should start playing again soon.

I took a break myself because I wanted to try to get P4 done first. Unfortunately the last dungeon is really hard and I'm currently stuck on it. I agree though, Xenoblade is really good.

I just finished Diablo III (that is to say Normal Difficulty) The last chapter left me surprised and the ending a little sad. But it was satisfactory, now I need to start playing on Nightmare. Which means better, loot and more money! To complete the game took around 30 hours.

I have been watching a lot of Game Center CX on youtube and it gave me the urge to play some retro games trying to complete them. Today I finish the original Metroid! I played it on 3DS. Thank god for the save states! :p

I think I'll try the original zelda next!

Oh yeah, I don't recall mentioning I beat and completed Metroid II a while back. I enjoyed it. It's not the best Metroid, but it's definitely important to the series and pretty fun. I've yet to beat the original Metroid again on my 3DS (beat it on the Wii), so that's one of the games I'm still working on.

I bought and downloaded Metroid II on the 3DS but have yet to play it! Its one of the last main series Metroid games I haven't played or beaten yet, so I'd really like to get around to it soon.

I finally beat Sonic Generations. Considering how short the main game is, it shouldn't have taken me that long, but I'm terrible at beating games no matter how short they are. I get distracted too easily...

Anyway, it was a very fun game (except for Planet Wisp, they managed to make it very annoying to play) and I hope the next Sonic game is at least as good. Thanks again for gifting it to me, Einar.
