In case you were wondering, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be 16.7 GB on the Wii U. That's apparently around the same size as the PS3 version. I wonder what the average Wii U game size will be?

Nintendo's Deluxe Digital Program details

You get 10 points for every dollar spent, and every 500 points gets you a $5 coupon to be used on the eShop on both Wii U AND 3DS.

Wow, that's awesome! I'll definitely be taking full advantage of this.

So basically buying a full retail game like NSMBU will net you a $5 rebate. That's a definite incentive for me to go digital on certain games.

EDIT: Most of this is obvious but I'll share it anyhow, Wii Shop Channel and 3DS eshop purchases are ineligible for the promotion (despite you being able to redeem your coupons on the eshop). Wii Shop was obvious, but I was hoping the 3DS would get it as well, especially since it'll be getting accounts soon as well.

That sounds like a good deal. I wasn't planning on downloading too many full retail games, but this may put in a little more incentive. Especially for some first-party titles since those seems to rarely ever see any kind of price drop.

Japanese Nintendo Direct, subtitled. Iwata unboxes the Wii U, and talks about accounts and other things!

How to transfer your Wii data to the Wii U

It's surprisingly simple, I would've expected something annoying from Nintendo.

Yeah it's about the same as the DSi to 3DS and 3DS to 3DS process, which is very good to hear. I've never had to do that yet (I gave my DSi to a friend with all of the games intact) but it seems simple enough.

The Wii U's menu music.

The main menu music isn't what I expected, though I don't mean that in a bad way. The ones I've heard are pretty chill, I like them.

eShop info

Most importantly, the prices of games and when they'll get sales is up to the developer, and they won't have to pay extra to patch games. (Unlike on the 360)

Awesome, those are some of my biggest gripes about the Wii Shop and 3DS eShop, the lack of sales was disappointing. Great that the developer also gets to choose the price (for better or worse).

In Japan the digital versions of retail games for select Wii U titles are cheaper (about $5-$10) hope we get the same deal here.

There were people lining up at noon today to get Wii U at my local best buy. Glad I pre-ordered.
