I have a question, did you guys all transfer your Wii games and such to Wii U? I decided not to, I moved my Wii to my new hobby room. Its pretty much a retro gaming system now. Having all my VC games on it makes it really convenient instead of having a bunch of systems on 1 TV. The only other thing on it is my Dreamcast. (Love that Dreamcast)

Yeah I transferred all of my stuff over to my Wii U, for me personally it's just more convenient that way.

Sounds like a sweet set up though, especially dat Dreamcast!

Same for me, I haven't transferred anything as the Wii and Wii U are always set up on some TV (though the majority of the Wii's use these days is Netflix). If the Wii U's in my room the Wii's in the living room and vice versa sometimes. Not to mention they'd be in the Wii U's Wii Menu, not the main menu. I may eventually decide to transfer some to get the discounted price on the Wii U eShop, but for the time being I'll keep my past VC games on the Wii. And man you're making me want to set up the ol' Dreamcast again! XD

Man, Mario Kart 8 is looking wonderful <3.

Which I love pretty much all the Mario Kart games so this is no surprise :eggman:

I think Mario Kart 8 is definitely a big Nintendo game that could really benefit from DLC if done right.

Nintendo always does one MK game per platform, so in my humble opinion there's no reason to not make it last the entire generation!

I'd love to see new tracks, modes, and characters released sometime after the game!

I am definitely looking forward to this. I'm amazed by how good it looks, graphically. I was not expecting it to look THIS good. It gives me hope for how future games can look on the Wii U from devs who know what they're doing.

And I agree HMS, I really want Nintendo to utilize DLC well for games where it fits. (C'moooon good and reasonably priced Smash Bros. DLC!)

Yeah Smash Bros. is also another big one that needs to have DLC to extend its life! (Even though it does a good job on its own)

I don't THINK I saw it mentioned here but the Wii U Deluxe model will be dropped to $299, and I THINK the basic is discontinued. Not entirely sure on the latter. There will also be a Wind Waker bundle with a special edition Gamepad priced at $299.

Smart move. Nintendo didn't have much choice but to make the Wii U cheaper. One of the advantages of the Wii was being dirt cheap compared to the competition, but the PS4 being only $50 more than the Wii U Deluxe did not look good.
