Those covers are showing up a lot now. Apparently, the case is going to be that blue color as well. I'm not really sure what to think of it. I think it'll make the Wii U games look unique, which is a good thing, but the color choice does look a bit odd still.

I really like the cover designs, they're sleek and simple. Good enough for me. More about the cover art itself for me.

And I'm biased, but blue is totally fine with me cause blue is my favorite color.

Reggie is holding a Wii U event in New York on September 13th, which means that's when we'll get price and date!

I'm sure it'll be November. If Nintendo is smart the console will cost no more than $300. I hope they learned a lesson from the 3DS launch...

Yeah I'm still betting on a $300 price tag and a November release as well. I'm looking forward to finding out if we're right, so hopefully Reggie will spill the beans, er, I mean make the announcements then.

Yeah I'm thinking $300 as well, although I am willing to bet up to $350. Especially if Nintendo Land is packed in in America.

I think anyone expecting less than $300 is asking for disappointment. $300-$350 is just a comfortable zone.

And November launch is pretty much a given, Nintendo won't want to miss out on Black Friday sales. It'll probably launch in December for Japan, get America out of the way first to meet demand for the holiday seasons.

I really think they'll shoot themselves in the foot by charging more than $300. The 3DS was overpriced at $250, I would hope Nintendo wouldn't make that same mistake twice in a row.

$250 was a tad much for the 3DS, but you have to put into consideration what the Wii U is.

The Wii U isn't a handheld, its supposedly stronger than the 360/PS3 (it darn well better, considering the 360 is 7 years old, and PS3 is 6), and its controller is pretty much a tablet (mind you, a low end one).

Since the Wii U is a console, Nintendo can easily get away with charging upwards of $350 for it due to its family appeal. I mean, obviously, technically a whole family could play one handheld, but they're much more personal and typically you'll buy one for each member. $350 for a Wii U is a much easier bullet to bite for a family than a $250 3DS for multiple people. Especially during the holidays.

Again, I'm also expecting a $300 price tag, and am hopeful for that (or hey cheaper would be even better! I love saving as much as the next guy) but at the same time, I wouldn't be utterly shocked if it was a little more than $300.

Also thankfully, if you owned a Wii you don't have to buy a gazillion accessories to play multiplayer! Since as of now the Wii U can only use two tablets at a time right? And most games currently announced don't really call for two at one time anyhow.

The tablet does worry me, I really wonder how much it'll cost, to both make and buy. I guess I was mostly thinking about the console itself, I'm pretty sure I've heard it's only a little more powerful than the 360 at best, but who knows for sure at this point. I just can't see too many people wanting to pay $350 for something that currently has mostly games already on the PS3 and 360.

I'm hoping come September we'll finally get the final specs.

Its been so far across the board.

Some say its noticeably better than the PS3/360, some say slightly, heck, some are even saying its not quite as good. Its crazy, and Nintendo really needs to get out here and tell us before their silence ends up hurting themselves with the hardcore crowd.

And I agree about the games, they need some more variety soon. Its pretty evident that software sells consoles (even if its just first party stuff). Since Mario Bros. U is apparently a launch title I think that has them covered with the casuals, but for the hardcore, right now there's just what? Pikmin and Zombie U?

Although i will admit, I am VERY excited for Zombie U. I haven't been this excited for a non-Resident Evil zombie title in a long time. Looks like some great fun. And, as far as ports go, I hear Alien Colonial Marines on Wii U will look the best (excluding PC) and play the best, so that's pretty cool.

But I digress, its not uncommon for Nintendo to hold their cards this close to their chest, this close to launch, I just hope that once they do spill their load that its some very big things.
