After the Bayonetta debacle yesterday I did some googling and while Bayonetta 2 was never actually announced, there was rumors going around last April or May that the game was cancelled. So yeah I'm with Einar, it really sounds like it was going to be on Wii U or not at all (especially due to Nintendo publishing).

And when they made that announcement yesterday I was speaking with Dragon.

Platinum games stated in the past how they'd absolutely love to do a Star Fox title for Nintendo. Now that they have such a beautiful relationship going on, how cool would that be?

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
Yeah, I just came here to post this.

It SEEMS like Sega didn't want to publish it so they went to Nintendo instead (I can't see why else Nintendo is publishing it instead of Sega.) I've heard both Sega and Platinum are having financial troubles right now, which I would guess is why Bayonetta 2 almost didn't happen.

And yeah, I wonder how they'd handle Star Fox.

EDIT: First-party Wii U games will be $59.99. I didn't think about game prices too much before, I guess this should have been expected. I guess it doesn't make much difference to me since I usually wait for sales on stuff these days. Though Nintendo games rarely drop in price now...

So I have heard that Nintendo Land is of course, Local Multiplayer Only. Seriously Nintendo? Still gonna kick and scream your way into 7 years ago huh?

I really have trouble supporting Nintendo titles when they refuse to take what should be simple steps forward.

While I think games like Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. (in its current form mind you) are best suited for local multiplayer, that seriously shouldn't be the only way.

Especially with Nintendo's huge emphasis on the social network aspect of the Wii U. I mean, Nintendo Land is a theme park for god's sake!

Everyone getting their pre-order in? Stores are running out of the deluxe model, so far GameStop and best buy are sold out from what I hear.

I currently don't have any cash on me t o plop down the order, so the Wii U is going to prove quite the challenge for me to get it seems.

I was hoping Amazon would be offering pre-orders but so far it seems they won't be selling the Wii U (other than third party sellers), for some reason they don't sell the 3DS either (or its been on again off again at the very least).

From what I hear, Amazon and Nintendo had a tiff over the 3DS having poor sales at first. So they no longer carry Nintendo consoles (at least for now)

I've heard it was because of defective 3DSes or something and Amazon getting a lot of complaints. Whatever happened, Amazon doesn't want to sell Nintendo systems for now at least.

I got my Deluxe pre-order in at GameStop on Thursday :) I watched Nintendo's announcement presentation afterwards and was very pleased with all of the news. We were spot on with the price point and release date predictions: way to go guys! And the deluxe package seems like a really great value.

Well I actually ended up pre ordering the deluxe console on Toys R Us website (thankfully they don't charge till shipping!)

Target and Kmart are still accepting online pre orders for anyone interested.
