MOTOR GAMES ON CARDCYCLES
My god. It finally happened.

It actually is Smash Bros. for PS3. 0_o Um, discuss? Place character bets? Mock the title? This is all so weird.

I'm not very familiar with Sony first-party characters. Fat Princess is a funny addition. Looks like there is Sly Cooper and PaRappa, and those guys are cool. I guess Ratchet and Clank are options, right? Maybe Jak and Daxter? Are third-party characters involved? Characters like Cloud and the guy from GTAIII would make sense. Maybe even Snake could make the cut. Again, I'm not too familiar with Sony's first-party efforts.

The game looks alright, though doesn't seem to be doing much different from Smash Bros. I'm just basing that on that one video there.

I'll be shocked if snake is in it, raiden maybe or old snake. But even old snake is a stretch. If he does show up, we won't see him in smash 4. Which I think is pretty sad.

I don't understand this game. Who Is the target audience? Kids? Most of sony's library are geared towards teens and adult. I don't see uncharted or god of war fans clambering for anything like this.

That is a good question. My guess is that if the game has any intention at being aimed towards kids, the likes of characters from titles like Twisted Metal and God of War doesn't make the most appealing or reasonable roster for youngsters. On the other hand, a Smash Bros. type of fighter doesn't seem like something that would make for the grittiest of gaming experiences for the typical Playstation player, either.

My guess is that this games is going to try to make itself more "hardcore" and "intense" than the Smash Bros. series would try to be, but for something that's going to rely heavily on star power, the Playstation universe still doesn't come off as the most attractive group of video game characters. Already, the likes of Fat Princess and Parappa the Rapper makes it look like Sony is stretching things pretty far to come up with a roster of characters, and that alone will likely keep this game from getting anywhere close to SSB status, regardless of how the game may play.

Wow. I wonder... Is there a chance for Crash Bandicoot? Or Spyro?

Depends on how much Activision wants to charge Sony for them. And considering how much they like money... :/ I would love to see both of them in the game, though, considering that they were really the first mascots for the PlayStation brand.

I have no problem with the game taking notes from the Smash Bros. play book, but yeah the game looks very bland and uninteresting. I played the Beta and was very underwhelmed. Perhaps for $20? The game had potential to be cool but I don't think it will be.

I'm not a huge fan of Sony first party games, so a lot of the appeal here is lost for me. If I want to play a giant cross-over game with my favorite characters, I'll stick with Smash Bros. So I'm skipping this one as well.
