I thought it was a good show, but I was disappointed by the lack of surprises, I guess. I mean, I wasn't expecting Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (with the Mega Mushroom in it no less...) and Lego City (finally, Lego GTA) but still.

I did find it more interesting than Microsoft's conference, at least. The only thing that interested me there was Tomb Raider.
True, very true. With Microsoft you could guess everything that would show up in there conference and be 90% correct.

Something COD, something gears, something halo, and something new.
I think it was the case for both conferences, with Nintendo you knew there would be Mario, Pikmin, talk about the Wii U features, etc. but that's still more interesting to me than yet more first- and third-person shooters that look like most of the rest we've seen this generation.

I will say I'm sort of interested in BLOPS 2 because of the near-future setting, but I'm certainly not hyped for it. Halo 4 looks pretty but that's all that catches my eye right now and I don't have a 360 anymore so I couldn't get it anyway.

I'd have to say E3 2012 over all was meh. I'm with you guys, nos urprises. All of the companies blew their loads a few days before E3 started.

I didn't watch Microsoft's conference (I was working) but caught Sony's live, and just watched a recording of Nintendo's.

Sony's got unbearable by the end. I really hate it when companies show off FPSs, they're never fun to watch at shows. They all LOOK the same (they're not, but at shows, they look the same), and they devoted a lot of time to very odd things.

I think Wonderbook looks really cool but the demo was just very boring.

Also, Sony had a perfect opportunity to sell me on a Vita, and they failed miserably at it.

Nintendo's was fun over all, they had quite a few cheesy laughs, but never stayed on a topic for too long for the most part. Very little surprises, and to be honest, I didn't learn too much more about the Wii U thanks to leaks and the Sunday show.

I'm really hoping for some awesome announcements tomorrow (though I'm not holding my breath).

EDIT: Transfer Wii VC titles to Wii U

I figured being able to transfer your stuff from the Wii to the Wii U would be a given, but I'm glad to see confirmation. I wonder how exactly it'll work though?

Also, Nintendo's roundtable has started.

EDIT: Alt link

IMO, best thing so far is South Park, the stick of truth.

I was kind of disappointed at the lack of surprises at Nintendo's show, but they do have some games I'm interested in. Pikmin 3 and Lego City were probably the big ones for me. NSMBU will probably be a lot of fun like the previous games in the series. Mass Effect 3 was a surprise, but I already played it on the 360. I think they should have tried to get the entire trilogy in a bundle. I was hoping for more third party announcements like Resident Evil 6, Borderlands 2, Bioshock Infinite, or even LEGO LotR. Maybe some of those were being too optimistic. Batman: AC is good, but we knew about that.

I would have loved RE6 on Wii U.

Though to be honest, I don't think I would have waited for it (since I"m sure the Wii U will launch in November, not October)

Bioshock doesn't come out till Feb 2013 right? There's still hope for that!

Oh maybe so. I was really hoping we'd see some previously unreleased third party titles. I think the developers of the new Tomb Raider said there wasn't going to be a Wii U version because the game had been in development before Wii U was announced or something, so maybe that's the case for others? Hope not.

Also, Dragon mentioned he saw flying pink pikmin in the Pikmin 3 trailer earlier. I went back and re-watched the trailer and they are indeed there. Flying around with a purple flower on his head.

Edit: Well now we're seeing some more games come in for Wii U. Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed has been confirmed, though I kind of expected this one. Game Informer has said that Tomb Raider will hit Wii U as well. We'll see if that turns out to be true.

Star Wars 1313

This probably would've slipped under my radar if I hadn't checked my RSS feeds. Looks interesting for now...

I can't due to a lack of money, but I wouldn't even if I had a job right now, since I prefer to wait at least a year before getting a console. Partly to get games build up, and partly to let them work out the kinks.
