It's a freebie, I'm not complaining. Doesn't the Vita not come with a memory card at all?

Also, the Nintendo Direct video on Youtube.

True enough, its a pack in. I am really looking forward to the Kirby Collectors Disc. Would have been nice to see Air Ride, but I suppose even thinking they would include that is almost laughable, right?

It looks much better than the Mario collection.

And the XL will come with a charger! ...in NA only for some reason, since I'm hearing that Europe's version won't come with it like in Japan. Why is it like that? It seems really odd.

A good question, I imagine they realize more people to get them in the US will be mostly new customers while the others will be upgrading ones.

Oooh, like they're expecting people to trade in their old 3DSes toward an XL? I guess that makes some sense, except for the lack of a charger devaluing the system...

Also, it'll still play DS games, according to Nintendo's Japanese site. Looks like I'll be shooting for the XL whenever I get steady income. My waiting on getting a 3DS paid off. :) (To clarify, I could've saved for a 3DS last year, especially after selling my 360, but decided to wait. Plus I wanted a new video card)

I had been on no sleep for a couple days now and I actually fell asleep about a half-hour before the show started. Just saw it now though.

The 3DS XL looks really nice. The thing that has me most excited is the new start/select/home buttons. If you haven't tried the original 3DS, those buttons weren't very easy to press. Looks like they addressed that issue. I didn't see if the stylus position changed. I hope so.

Finally we're getting Layton on 3DS. I can't wait.

Not sure if this should go here or the SSB4 thread but, Masahiro Sakurai's and Masaya Kobayashi's messages

Please let this mean Namco stuff will be in SSB4...maybe I'm asking for too much? At the very least a Namco character should be playable.

I bet Pac-man will be playable.

If anything it'll probably be Pac-Man, yeah. And I guess with my previous post I was basically asking for Nintendo vs Namco, which I would like of course but that's extremely unlikely. I think the most we could get is one playable Namco character plus an Assist Trophy (if they come back) related to them and that's it. Of course, that's not even guaranteed.

Sorry if this was already posted;

but apparently the 3DS XL's DS mode and VC Handheld titles will be pixel perfect in quality.
