Well, I just beat Mass Effect 3! Over all, I thought it was a much stronger game than 2. I still like the first one the best, but this one was really fun and I enjoyed the story a lot. Getting to see everything finally come together was nice and the entire time felt like I was actually fighting for something. The second game was more or less assembling your team together, only to go to the suicide mission, the story wasn't nearly as exciting. As far as the infamous ending goes. Yeah, it was pretty bad. As soon as the ending started I rolled my eyes. To me it feels like they really got lazy with it but I dunno, I won't talk crap on them, not sure what I'd do different and the like. It didn't anger me though and I'm not going to disavow the series or anything like that. I'm actually interested in getting ME4 Day-1 now so that's good for them. The Extended Ending was a little cheesy and tacked on (well. . I guess it really was) and didn't do much for me but it was still nice. The rest of the game won't get marred just because the ending was subpar. EDIT: Okay, so I read up on what the extended cut added. And wow, it added more than I thought. So let me clarify a little bit for those who have played it. The small changes they made in the point before entering the beam and up until your decision was actually pretty good. So I guess the stuff actually implemented in the game is nice, and the stuff that was actually animated was nice. The stuff that was shoddy motion graphics and still images is what was cheesy and tacked on. A lot of the changes blew my mind, they really should have been stuff in the original game to begin with. The original ending left A LOT to your imagination. Which isn't a bad thing but I don't think that's a good way to end a series that spanned an entire console generation. I recommend the leviathan and omega DLC, both are really cool! The omega DLC in particular was really fun. As for batman, yea Harley's revenge was really bad. They built up SO much but then nothing happened. I am still holding out hope the next batman game is based on Batman Beyond. |

Yeah, I can definitely see how others may appreciate that aspect of the ending. For me personally, since it is a trilogy and it's been building up this giant reaper story for three games now, I think we deserve the closure. If it was just one game and set up differently then yeah I could go for a more obscure open ended ending. But that's just me! I do plan on getting the DLC eventually, however I think I might wait a bit. Playing the series on PS3 spoiled me, ME1 and 2 came with all of the DLC for free except for Arrival on ME2 since that came out after the PS3, so now that I'm actually expected to buy all of the story related DLC is kind of a bummer! But yeah, I'll definitely give it a gander in the near future. A Batman Beyond game would be AWESOME! The Wii U version comes with all of the pre-order costumes already included, so flying around the city as Batman Beyond batman is pretty awesome! I don't care if he sticks out like a sore thumb! |

In the past week I beat: Hotline Miami, and Resident Evil 6! Resident Evil 6 was pretty great. I can understand people's criticism on it, however, anyone who calls the game a disaster hasn't played it. The game is heaps and bounds better than 5. Understandably, it still doesn't top 4 or the classics (Or Revelations) but it still stands it's own really well. Although to be honest, I don't think any co-op Resident Evil game will ever beat the classics (which I'm just going to include 4 into from now on :P) Also, I should have it Platinum'd by the end of the week! All I gotta do is beat Jake and Ada's scenario on Professional, and buy/upgrade a few more skills. I also purchased and played through an Indie game called "I Get This Call Everyday" it's only about 10 minutes long, but was kind of enjoyable in a depressing kind of way. . .It's about a guy who works for the Canadian government in a call center(sorry I forget which part) who has to deal with annoying people on a daily basis. It's based on true events :P. Edited by Hyper Metal Sonic, Jan 30 2013, 05:14 PM.

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

First game beat this year: Batman Arkham Asylum. Great game, and it felt like a Metroidvania almost (though more Fusion than Super.) I finished over half of The Riddler challenges, I guess I'll eventually play again and try to get them all. |

I just finished Dead Space 3, if you played and enjoyed the first two you'll like this. My only real gripe is, even though there is a really robust weapon crafting system. I really only had 2 main weapons I poured all my best upgrades into that served me really well through the whole game. Taking out even the dark necromorphs in as little as 2 hits! Either way still a fun game, I do recommend it! |

Wow, impressive list you have going there HMS! Sadly, I have yet to beat a single game this year. There are a few that I should be able to beat soon though. |

I got Bioshock last week and I finished it earlier today. The games ending was like bioshock 2 actually. It was a bittersweet ending. |
