I just beat LEGO City Undercover on Wii U. This is by far the greatest LEGO game to date. It also had one of the greatest endings I have played in video games in a long time. I don't know who composed the music for the final part of the game, but it was amazing. Everything was just awesome.

Tonight I beat the Wii U version of Super Mario World, and found all of the exits! I think that's the first time I did that in a loooong time!

So after playing a little here, and a little there for the past six months I've finally beaten Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask!

It was my first Layton game, so I can't compare it to the rest, but I liked it quite a bit. I thought the story was interesting and the puzzles were fun for the most part. (I hated a few :P)

I don't think I"m going to replay every previous game in the series any time soon, but when the new one comes out, I'll definitely get it.

I finally got around to also trying out the daily DLC puzzles, I've racked up about 260some xD so I have PLENTY to come back to periodically in the coming months!

Last Tuesday I got Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse on the PS3, I beat it last Thursday or so.

I liked it a lot! Since i pre ordered it on the PSN I got the original game for free and being able to compare the two was very nice.

It was my first time playing the original and while I definitely appreciate it, the remake blows it out of the water in pretty much every way. There's an immense amount to detail put into this game, and the graphics are just lovely, and despite what some reviewers are saying, the controls are buttery smooth, and much easier to control.

I would say the only thing that the original has over the remake is that the remake was a tad too easy. The original game had three difficulty settings and limited continues, here there's no difficulty settings and lives are given out like candy (I think I ended the game with like 20?).

Over all though, I highly recommend this game, its a much better remake than DuckTales, and a much better game than the original Castle of Illusion.

It costs $15 and can be 100%'d in about 3-5 hours, so people on the fence may want to wait for a sale, but if you were interested from the start I think its worth it due to all the care and attention that was brought to the game.

I might as well contribute to this post from time to time...!

I beat Tales of Xillia recently as I've mentioned before, but I recently purchased Corpse Party for the PSP and finished the main game in about 8 hours (though there's still a lot of, uh, things to collect and unfortunate bad endings to see). It was a really good game! Some character choices (as in, who makes it to the end) are obvious, some parts of the plot are a bit obvious, but some of the things that tie together in the last chapter are really, really fun to think about. It's kind of an indie horror/RPG type game (it's not really an RPG, it's just done in an RPGmaker kind of style).
