Wonderful to hear! Yeah I've seen a few examples of the cut scenes, they don't seem like they were done very well. . .Glad they can be skipped though, I'll definitely check them out the first play through, but the rest, I'll probably skip. Heard it really breaks up the flow of gameplay. |

I got it today and its really great. It really reminds me of the show now with the voices and story. I only played the first level and my favorite partwas swimming in Scrooge's money bin. That was great. |

I have played more and have a good grasp on the game. If I were to compare it to anything it would be mega man x. It starts hard but as you get heart containers and get a better idea of how to control Scrooge and his abilities it gets easier. I've beaten 3 levels and doubled my health bar. Since doing that the game feels much easier with only 3 hearts at the beginning during the tutorial stage I am not ashamed to say I died several times! Now I can beat stages without dying at all. The game is a precise platformer, but not to the point of being unfair. You will probably have a rocky start but after it sinks in it will feel very natural. |

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought. I figure the only (or at least the main) gripe about the game is going to be that the cut scenes sort of interrupt the gameplay far too often. I love the cut scenes, though. It's so great hearing those voices again and the loveable, cheesy humor really sounds like stuff they'd say in the original cartoon. If there hadn't been an option to skip them once you've seen them that would've been really annoying, though. And yeah, there's no reason to be ashamed of dying in this game. It was hard then and it's hard now. XD Right up there with Mega Man difficulty, it's just shorter (or at least it was). This was one of the first NES games I played and I played it to death despite never owning it for myself. I really hope we see more Disney Capcom revivals spawn from this. Ducktales 2, Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers, and Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers 2. They NEED to happen! |

They said if this one sells well they'll go ahead and do more! So hopefully it does. . . I've only played the intro level on Medium, and I got a game over once at the boss! Obviously can't say much yet since I'm not too far, but I'm liking it a lot thus far. |

Yay! And yeah, I'm playing on medium as well. That's the standard difficulty matching the original NES game as far as I can tell. My sister's playing on easy and you take half as much damage (half of a heart per hit) and have infinite lives, so yeah, if you want a challenge medium's the way to go. |

Yeah, Medium is currently kicking my butt. I am going to keep at it, but I might drop it down to Easy soon if I can't overcome this obstacle! Got to the boss of the Amazon but usually only get there with one life and that never ends well. There's a few annoyances in the game, like when I respawned after dying in one of the rooms in the temple I spawned right on top of an enemy, so right off the bat I already lost a heart. Not cool game, not cool at all. I want a challenge, but I hate cheap shots, and I also don't want it to be TOO easy, so I fear that the jump down from Medium to Easy will be too much and it won't feel legit. I do love how its keeping its old school feel with having to just replay the levels to get better rather than relying on check points and continues! I'll just have to keep at it. |

Yeah, I think something similar happened with me respawning once. The first level I tried was The Moon (I had to hear that glorious music) and I made it to the boss and lost. So far I barely made it out of The Amazon and Transylvania alive. It definitely does maintain that old school feel. Rediscovering the secret areas I remember from around 20 years ago is like a nostalgia heart attack. :') |

Haha that's great! I don't really have a past with DuckTales so I'm finding a lot of these secrets for the first time and its quite satisfying. And the game has now just froze on me midsave right after beating The Amazon finally ;___;. My fingers are crossed for no corrupted saves. EDIT: It didn't corrupt, but I have to re-do The Amazon >_>, woe is me. Edited by Hyper Metal Sonic, Aug 14 2013, 01:24 AM.

I had the game freeze on me after a save. I bought some character art and when I went back to the money bin, the game just froze. Oh well. |
