Nintendo's E3 site is up and E3 starts soon so I decided to make a thread. As you may have heard by now, (this was announced a while ago but I never posted about it here) Nintendo is not doing a presentation at E3 this year. Instead they're doing a Nintendo Direct on June 11, where they're (IIRC) revealing the next Smash Bros, Mario Kart, I THINK the next 3D Mario platformer, and other things. Microsoft's show is supposed to be more game focused. And to be honest I don't know what Sony has planned. Also, no Valve. |

Honestly? For this year, I really don't care about E3 at all. I mean it'll be interesting to see what Microsoft and Sony have up their sleeves for their next consoles, hopefully Microsoft does plenty of damage control for their disastrous first showing. I'm excited for the Nintendo Directs though, can't wait to see what they're doing with the new 3D Mario and Smash Bros. Also wanna see what they've got in store for Wind Waker HD. I'm really hoping they add in some of the content that was cut out of the original version. |

Whoa hey, I totally wasn't paying attention and didn't realize Microsoft's conference was today. I'm not sure what new stuff they showed besides another 360 redesign. EDIT: Apparently the One will launch at $499. Edited by Brewmaster Dragon, Jun 10 2013, 03:08 PM.

Some of their bigger announcements was the Killer Instinct reboot (apparently from Double Helix Games, creator of gems such as Battleship, GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Green Lanter: Rise of the Manhunters, and Silent Hill Homecoming) so. . yay? Dead Rising 3 will be an XBONE exclusive, as will Titan Fall (Respawn's new game, AKA the old Infinity Ward). Although Titanfall will also hit PC. They also showed off a new MGSV trailer with Kiefer Sutherland as Snake (or in this game, Punished Snake). . .weird, very weird, and actually makes him sound younger in my opinion >_>. Not b ad though, just will take some getting used to. |

Yup, here's the trailer and other info. I want to say I like Kiefer Sutherland as Snake from what little I heard but he didn't speak much in the trailer unfortunately. I really want it but there's no word on a PC release as far as I can tell. But it could still happen...hopefully. |

It'd really be a missed opportunity not to in my humble opinion! Konami seems to be a tad more proactive in the PC realm as of late. Lords of Shadow 2 is apprently coming to PC, so hopefully MGS follows! |

The first Lords of Shadow is also coming to Steam this August, so yeah. And of course Metal Gear Rising is also coming to PC. But I don't want to get my hopes up still. There was a point where Konami tried releasing stuff on PC (Like Rocket Knight) then just...stopped. EDIT: Oh yeah, remember that Nintendo Direct is tomorrow morning at 10 AM EST if I did the conversion right. Edited by Brewmaster Dragon, Jun 10 2013, 06:47 PM.

The PS4 will launch at $399! And will be able to run used games, and doesn't need to be connected to the internet. PS+ is required for online games though, but doesn't seem to be required for netflix or other streaming services. |

Daaaang, Sony really is setting themselves up to be the much better console alternative. PS+ being required for online play does stink though. I feel like that's needlessly rocking the boat when so many people are happy with PSN the way it is. Ah well. |
